Disney Visa Meet and Greet Question

Not sure if I am posting this in the right forum, but could somebody please tell me the details of the character meet and greet with the Disney Visa. Where it is, do you just show your card, what are the times????

Can't remeber if it Innoventions East or West, but it is usually designated times during the day and it is posted on the wall where the line forms. We have done this every trip and it is pretty cool. There is usually never any more than 3 or 4 families in line when we do it and its a great photo op. The characters are supposedly random but it is usually been Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Goofy. Get to spend a good bit of time with them and get great pictures and there is also a photo pass photographer there. All u need is your Disney Visa and a drivers license with a name that is on the credit card.

When you enter Epcot, it is in the Innoventions building on the right.

I want to say that the times for it are something like 1-4. It is a little inconvenient b/c if you open the park, you are ususally done with Future World and on to World Showcase and have to go back in order to do the pic. It will then be ready to select and print a couple of hours later at the picture place which is next to Spaceship Earth.

We have been there when there is a long line and also it can take a while to get your picture depending on the number of folks viewing their pictures.

The neat part about it is not only is it free, but you can get a free picture daily. You are not limited to one per vacation, you are only limited to one per day. On our trip before last, we came home with 2 free pictures and they had different characters, so that was cool. The first had Mickey and Pluto, the second had Mickey, Goofy and Minnie.

It is pretty neat and nice to get something for free, but as I said, not always convenient.

That's good to know. Is it one per family or per card? DH and I each have our own card. They are different accounts, not just two cards on the same account.

I used to forget special items on my trips (photo ops, ADR's - actually missed my Le Cellier ADR one trip) so what I started doing prior to leaving home is typing out a small daily note card about 2x3 and laminating each one for each day. So when I get up in the morning when I am grabbing my camera and whatever else I need that day, I grab the card for that day. Since it is laminated I don't worry about it getting wet, or sweaty or smearing. It has been a huge help for my last few trips.

I thought I remember reading somewhere at some point that it was something like 5 people per card but not sure how lax they are on it. Luckily 3 people in our 8 person group had a card but we never ended up going and I was bummed out about it.

You receive one free picture coupon per card. So if there was 8 of you and only 3 of you had a card you could only get three free pictures so 5 people wouldn't have been able to receive a picture. Usually DBF and I go together, we each have a card so we will get two free pictures so that I am able to scrapbook one and then either frame or save the other

I have to say I'm a little bummed. We have the Disney Debit Visa card. They did away with the perks in Oct. 11. We still have the card, but do not earn points. I'll miss doing that this year. We did the few years prior and loved it! My only hope is that when our card expires, we will still be able to get the Disney gang on our card. This was the only reason we switched to Chase banking!
