Domo arigato Yakitori

The Yakitori House in Epcot’s Japan pavilion has re-opened from refurbishment with a new name and some new menu items. The dining location is now known as Katsura Grill and has added menu items such as cold Ramen noodles with sweet soy sauce & shredded crab and a crispy panko-breaded chicken sandwich.

A Tasty Test

The Pepper Market food court at Disney’s Coronado Springs resort is testing a Breakfast and Lunch buffet now through January 4, 2012. As a result of the trial offering, Maya Grill will cease breakfast service during this time period.

Retirement, Relatively Speaking

Contrary to initial reports, Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates has been added to the
Play ‘n’ Dine Character Meals replacing one of the remaining Little Einstein characters. Jake has replaced Leo at Disney’s Hollywood Studios character meals. June from the Little Einsteins is still part of the current Character Meal line-up.

A Shrinking Outpost

The Golden Oak Outpost in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland has been reducing its menu over the last several months. After two recent menu reductions, the location is now serving only hot dogs, assorted chips, chocolate cake, carrot cake, chocolate chip cookies and assorted beverages.

A Trail’s Beginning

Trail’s End Buffeteria at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground has recently added a new section to their buffet. During dinner service only, the buffet now offers a make-your-own baked potato bar. Guests may “load” a pre-salted baked potato with toppings such as bacon and melted cheese.
