Disney in Israel?

Is this true? I have a hard time believing it is.

I looked it up on the internet after I heard it one TV. Some groups are announcing that Disney is planning to open a theme park in Israel.

This must be a rumor, isn't it? But I couldn't find anything here on Intercot. Thanks.

Looks like a rumor
based on a mistake. One of the investors may be Shamrock Israel, they manage private equity investment funds specializing Israel related companies. Including the large cinema complex Cinema City. This Company is affiliated with Shamrock Holdings which is owned by the Estate of Roy E Disney and at one time they had significant shares of Disney stock. I'm not sure if they do anymore..

That doesn't mean the Disney Company is involved in this venture and if all the rumors are true, Disney is denying any involvement. It looks to me like they (Shamrock) will be investing in another large entertainment complex.

Of course, I'm speculating.. as I'm not positive Shamrock is even involved yet, but this seems the only likely connection to the Disney name.
