Unusually busy...

Howdy all...
We're currently searching for a Hotel/Motel to stay at for our November DLR trip this year.
Our plan is to head down Sunday, Nov. 7th, and head home the following Friday.
Unlike in years past, room availability seems to be a bit tighter this year.
Am I missing some kind of special event or something that is boosting the attendance this year?

I just got back from DLR, 12-16 October. It was very crowded EVERY DAY
On Wednsday afternoon, fastpass times were 3-4 hours out. If you didn't get your rides in by 12noon, forgetaboutit. I've seen DLR less busy in July. The only time we walked onto rides with little wait was during Mickey's Halloween party.

I was just at DL/DCA last week (Tuesday the 12th and Thursday, the 14th) and the place was essentially dead both days. I'm not sure what sorts of crowds the previous poster is used to, but it was very slow last week.

When I can get onto Dumbo in under 10 minutes mid morning, it's slow...

All California Schools are out on thursday and friday of that week so yeah, it will be busy.

All schools do NOT have off on Friday. My kids do, but the school where my sister teaches in L.A. has school on Friday.

Still, it will be pretty crowded. Veteran's Day is a holiday. Lots of people will go that day.

My DD is in the LAUSD system. She is off on Thursday, but not Friday. We will not be there on Thursday since there is school the next day.
