    Default Change of flights again!!!

I just received news that our flights were changed again for the 2nd time and on the departing flight it was changed from 2 in the afternoon to 10 in the morning which cut our last hours at WDW. I am soooo fumming mad and their isnt a thing they will do for us for messing up our vacation. We moved to a new state and only have the option of flying Delta. Just needed to vent!!

Oh that's unfortunate! And I can totally relate Lori!
Same thing happened to us on our past vacation. We purposely picked an airline that would depart in the early afternoon (to come home), and they changed our flight to 9am!!! We had to be picked up by ME at 6am!!
It's hard enough to leave DW wish they wouldn't make it worse!!

Default I know how you feel

We booked our flight for September back in April, and the flight times have been changed 3 times. We originally booked the times we wanted, now we have to work around their schedule. We are using ME so I hope we don't have anymore changes.

So sorry to hear that your flight has messed up your last day plans. This is one of the many reasons we choose to drive. We like to leave WDW when we are ready. Many, many times we've stayed till late afternoon then drove half way home and stopped along the way for the night. And this past June we stopped at WL for lunch before starting our drive and when we walked in we realized how much we missed "our home away from home resort" and we booked a room for that night from the lobby of WL and stayed another night. Flying would get us there much quicker, but we like to be able to come and go as we please. Hopefully your flights change again and you'll get a late afternoon flight after all.

We have had a plane change twice since making our reservations for our September trip. We were flying from home to Salt Lake and then Chicago and then Orlando. Now we are flying to Seattle and then to Orlando, getting into Orlando a couple hours earlier. It is a good change for us but I would be unhappy if a change cut my time in WDW. I wish we lived close enough to drive. We would make more trips to WDW then we do. I keep watching to make sure there are no other changes.

Don't worry Lori your DH will take care of it and let you stay an extra day.The airline will change your flights to the next day, and Kathy at MJ will get another night added to our reservation.

We also drive since I want to be able to come and go as we please. Plus I'd rather spend the $1200 it costs to fly on something else.

I think this is getting to be pretty standard procedure with the airlines. We've had it twice that were severe with American. Once we were flying to Ft. Lauderdale from Sacramento, and they adjusted the time....and never notified us. We were scheduled for a cruise, and we were to get in to Florida an hour after the ship was scheduled to depart......grrrrr. Fortunately, the DW caught it, but we ended up having to use another vacation day and fly the day before.

Then there was the time we were flying out of S.F. to Hawaii. We drove from Sac to SF on Thursday and spent the night. At 8 PM they call us and tell us our flight for Friday morning has been canceled. But, they've been so kind to book us on a flight to Chicago on Saturday evening. Huh? I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that Hawaii is west of S.F., not east. We did finally make other arrangements, but it cost us a day in Honolulu and a much longer flight. Instead of SF to Honolulu, we had to go SF to LA (and a long layover) and then to Honolulu. grrrrr #2.

I think we are going to stick with Southwest if at all possible....especially with the no baggage fees.

I'm so not looking forward to any difficulties with our flight. We are traveling in a large group and we live on an island so we are basically at the mercy of airlines to travel. The prices are outrageous but we either pay it or stay home, we don't have the option of driving. We have to buy tickets 6 months to a year out to get a decent price.

I think the idea was to fly us to Chicago then to LA and then to Honolulu. How retarded was that? Just what I want to do, spend all of my vacation on a plane.
