Disney's Animal Kingdom Hosts "Taste of Africa Street Party" 7/9/10 - 7/24/10

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has announced “The Taste of Africa Street Party” event will run from July 9th through July 24th, 2010. The event will be held in the Africa section of the park and will run from 3:45 pm till park close, daily.

The event has been announced to include kiosks selling African food and beverage offerings, an African beer and wine tasting in the Tamu Tamu courtyard, performances by Wasslou, live DJ and a dance party, kiosks selling authentic African merchandise, and educational animal programs with the Harambe Wildlife Team.

On July 12th and 19th, the event will continue till the end of the Evening Extra Magic Hours.

My daughter is a chef at the Tusker House and they are very excited about this! They are really gearing up and have some fantastic things planned. Too bad I miss it by 2 days.

Hey, Momef3grls..DW is from Bangor...born in Pen Argyl...I grew up between Saylorsburg and Brodheadsville.
Or at least, lived there during the time I was expected to grow up.
Much of my travels (in those long ago days before 33) were on 512, (don't tell DW, but I used to date a girl from Bethlehem) and always got stuck at the light in Moorestown...Think they waited for me, and switched the light just to catch me!
