    Feb. 27, 1895 – Edward Brophy, the voice of Timothy Q. Mouse in Disney’s 1941 classic “Dumbo, was born in New York City.
    Feb. 27, 1935 – An Academy Award was won for the Disney film “The Tortoise and the Hare”.
    Feb. 27, 1938 – The Spanish-language edition of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs-Bianca Nieves y los Siete Enanos,” was unveiled at the Carthay Circle Theater in Hollywood, Ca.
    Feb. 27, 1940 – Actor Bill Hunter, the voice of the Dentist in the 2003 “Finding Nemo,” was born in Australia.
    Feb. 27, 1941 – “When You Wish Upon a Star”, written by Leigh Harline and Ned Washington, from the Disney film “Pinocchio” was awarded an Oscar for Best Song at the 13th Academy Awards, and the animated feature won an Oscar for Best Score.
    Feb. 27, 1957 – The Disneyland TV series aired “The Crisler Story/Prowlers of the Everglades.”
    Feb. 27, 1959 – The Disney TV movie “The Adventures of Chip’n Dale” aired.
    Feb. 27, 1966 – Disney’s part-1 of its 2-part TV movie “Ballerina” aired. (Part-2 aired Mar.6, 1966)
    Feb. 27, 1968 – Louis Armstrong and his 7pc band recorded 3 songs in a N.Y.C. studio for his upcoming LP “Disney Songs the Satchmo Way.” This day’s session included “Bout Time,” “The Bare Necessities,” and “Ten Feet Off The Ground.” The albums remaining tunes would be cut in March.
    Feb. 27, 1985 – Actor J. Pat O’Malley passed away in Ca. His vast Disney credits include “Robin Hood,” “The Jungle Book,” “Mary Poppins,” “Son of Flubber,” and “One Hundred and One Dalmatians.”
