    Default swim with stingrays?

My sister told me that you can swim with stingrays on Castaway Cay. I was trying to look this up and nothing has been coming up about it. So if anyone knows if they do have this and could tell me a little bit about it I would appreciate it.

Although I've never been on a Disney cruise, I have seen this on TV. From what I could see, you stand in knee-high water and the rays will pass by you. You can feed them, too. All is closely supervised by a CM.

I'm sure others will have more information for you!

I should add that my DW and I did this while in Grand Cayman...it was a great experience. Slightly more "natural" than what they showed on TV at Castaway Cay, but you'll have a great time!

This was our very favorite excursion on the Disney cruise!!! I can't say enough good things about it. Our family of five did this, the kids were 6, 9 and 11 at the time. It was such a delight! First we got a lesson about the stingrays and how they snip the stingers, so we are safe. Then into the water with our snorkels! We got to feed them if we wanted, and I spent almost the whole time doing this. You would put the food on your hand and they would swim over your hand and **** up the food like a vacumn from underneath! They were as soft as butter, and gentle as lambs. I loved how they felt swimming around you. And..the very best part. I still think about this...the CM caught a pregnant sting ray for me and I got to feel the baby in its belly!!! It felt just like a little triangular bump, wiggling around. I loved it, and she let me stroke her belly and feed her. I highly recommend this tour. My entire family LOVED it.

Thank you so much for the info. My son wants to do this a his MAW, and I wasn't too thrilled with the idea of his swimming with stingrays. I'm guessing the water is pretty shallow so you can just stand there, because he's really not a swimmer yet. Thank you everyone.

Swimming with stingrays. Hmmm... isn't that how The Crocodile Hunter died?

This was definitely worth it! I could have stayed in there with them all day. It's really worth the price and really magical for the kids. My 11 year old daughter taught her chicken mother here how to snorkel that day
