Why is it that only Jacob calls Richard that? Richard is known as Ricardo when he gets to the island. When is he ever Ricardus, like Jacob told Ilana?

Don't the others speak in Latin? So Ricardus is his "Others" name.

In the sideways reality the island is sunken. I'm assuming that means both Jacob and Smokey are dead. How will that play into the lives of those still stuck on the island?

You know, I had forgotten about that. Now that you bring it up, I do wonder why that was so mysterious. In fact, children, in general, seemed to have some sort of special significance on the island.

I would still like to know who Jacob and Smokey are. We know what their relationship to each other is, but who are they really and how did they get there? Both seemed to have lived normal human lives at some point, based upon references they've made to their pasts.

Anyone have any idea who Daniel's father is? Who Penny's mother is? Curious if this will be important. Also, I want Russeau back for an appearance. There's not a lot of time and I still haven't made too many connections yet. HAVE YOU?

Dynamite episode last night. One of the best of the season....we are starting to see a melding of the flash sideways and, shall we call it, the reality. We've had indications of the various flash sideways people having an inclining that something was not quite right, but after last night, well, a bunch of people quantified it pretty well....Daniel, Charlie and Desmond.

Saw an interesting thought about Smokey....maybe when Desmond failed to push the button that brought down flight 815, it also let Smokey out of captivity, held there by eletromagnetism...and maybe that's why all of the jungle noises in the Season 1 premiere, Smokey letting loose that he was free again.

Can hardly wait to see what happens next time.

He presumably blew up with the freighter at the end of Season 4. Christian appeared to him and told him he was all done and then everything went BOOM. Jin was also on the freighter but somehow got away in time.

He was with his Grandmother (Michaels Mom) he had been with Michael because his Mom died.

So, Smokey (in Locke's body) tries to kill Desmond and then Desmond tries to kill Locke.

I read a theory, elsewhere, that perhaps Smokey can't have Locke's identity if sideways Locke is dead.

Is it possible that Desmond's conscience resides in sideways reality if he's unconscious on the island?

Not sure that makes sense to me, since MIB/Flocke/Esau occupies Locke's identity on the island (in island time), even though his body is dead.

This was a pretty good episode (better than last week's, which I thought was a bit of a snoozer), although I am getting impatient for the pace to step back up, like it did with the Richard-centric episode. We only have five episodes left, so I want to see some major action happening here!

Strangely enough, I got a jolt the other night when I was catching up on some episodes of "Supernatural" and realized that the actors that played the original Jacob and Smokey appeared on Supernatural this season. They played Lucifer and War, respectively. Seemed like an odd coincidence of casting (or maybe I am just reading into it?)

I assumed that this was Desmond's way of getting Locke to flash to the alternate universe, not that he was actually trying to kill him. Maybe I was looking at it wrong though, I don't know. I mean, Locke is already WITH his love in the ALT so maybe he needed something more intense. I wonder if this will also cause Ben to flash?

As soon as Smokey took Des to that well, I KNEW he would throw him down there. And I'm really digging the laid back Jack right now... although by following Hurley they seem to have ended up right where Smokey wants them. So exciting!!!! Hard to believe we are almost at the end now.

Or could Michael be a manifestation of MIB to get the candidates to come to him?

Reminder, there will be NO new episode on 4/27 and the finale is on Sunday May 23rd, with pretty much the whole evening devoted to LOST. And don't forget to tune in to Jimmy Kimmel afterwards, as Damon and Carlton will be on to explain other stuff (or so it has been advertised).

I was very sad to see it end last night. But I also thought it was a very good ending
I'm surprised that no one posted anything on it...are there any Lost fans out there?
