    Smile Our trip

Disney, what a vacation it was.

Day One: We left our house at 5:05 AM. My parents took us to the airport and we were ready to rock and roll! Found a Starbucks, of course. Flight to NY was uneventful, love Jet Blue and their TV's at every seat. And the flight to Orlando was uneventful.

We landed at 12:55, got the luggage and rental car (do not rent from Dollar) (long story there) and were on our way by 1:25. Hit The World around 1:55. Check in was great, they had our room ready and off we went to unpack.

Got to the bus stop as the Magic Kingdom bus was pulling up. Ran for it and made it. We walked into the Magic Kingdom at 3:00, parade started as we got there. Cast member traded a pin with Margaret immediately and we were on our way to a great first day!

Of course we did Pirates of the Caribean, Jungle Cruise, Thunder Mountain right way. We did the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House and the Tiki Room show (which has become a favorite of mine). We had dinner at Tony's, based on Lady and the Tramp, which was fabulous despite really shady reviews (don't know why, it was great) and then we took the ferry to the transport center and from there took the monorail to Epcot.

Ah Epcot, my favorite place to be in the World. We hit Soarin right away, what a feeling, what a ride!!!!! We did Test Track, saw the Circle of Life Show, did the Nemo ride and met Crush, again. He said hello to Margaret as Mackin Margaret Dude. It was great.

Margaret met Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. We were back at the hotel around midnight. That was a 20 hour day for us!!!

Day Two, Universal, as in the Universal Studios side of Universal. We ate at the resort before we left. There were a lot of rides that shook you around so I didn't do too many. But, he he he, there were 2 Starbucks.......I passed the first one by but found the second one while sauntering around as Steve and Margaret rode Twister and The Mummy and Disaster. We took in the BeetleJuice show which was hilarious. We rode Jaws which was a little freaky.

We had reservations at Hollywood and Vine at MGM or Hollywood Studios as it is called now. It sucked. It was basically the Old Country Bufett. Oh well.We were back at the hotel around 11 after a trip to Downtown Disney. Quick dip in the hot tub for me and the pool for Steve and Margaret and we went to bed.

Day three, all Epcot. Ate breakfast in The Land. Did Soarin again, of course! Went to Honey I Shrunk the Kids, did the Ellen Degeneres ride, did the ride at The Land, can't remember the name but it is all about farming with futuristic farming like materials, pretty cool. We visited Mexico in the countries and Margaret modeled hats for us. Then we went to eat an early dinner at Coral Reef.

Coral Reef, amazing. We were seated right by the aquarium. They send divers in to clean this aquarium if that gives you any idea how large it is. We had a great meal during which I told Steve I am going to have to take a nap. He agreed and off we went back to the Hotel where we slept for 2 hours. Margaret wrote in her journal and slept as well. MGM had extended hours so we went there in the evening. We ate at Eddie's Catalina counter service and it was really great. We did Tower of Terror, Rockin Rollercoaster, Toy Story Mania and were in bed by midnight.

Day four, Animal Kingdom!!!! Did the safari right way. Oh my, this is the best ride ever. Had Margaret's face painted, did the Kali River Rapids, (can you say SOAKED) the Expedition Everest, the Nemo Show, the Festival of the Lion King show. Ate at Yakety Yak counter service in Asia, YUMMY.

We had reservations at Cap'N Jacks on Downtown Disney so we headed there. Again, disappointed although the service was outstanding. Shopped around downtown. Took the Ferry back to Saratoga, went for a hot tub/swim excursion and was in bed by 11:30.

Day 5, Universal, Island of Adventure side. Ate at the resort again before leaving. Did Men in Black, Steve and Margaret did the Simpson's ride, we did the Terminator 3D show, we did the Popeye Rapids ride (SOAKED), the Jurassic Park ride (SOAKED) they did the Dueling Dragons, ate counter service in Dinoland, was pretty good. Prattled around, went back to Universal to do the ET ride. Good day.

Then we headed to Kona at the Polynesian Resort for dinner. LOVE THIS PLACE. There are masks everywhere, Lilo and Stitch references, great store etc. After dinner we took the monorail to the Contemporary and toured the stores there. MK had extended hours so we headed over there. It was chilly so we left out Splash Mountain. We did Space Mountain, they did the Stitch Ride, we did Philarmagic, Snow White's Scary Adventure, It's a Small World, Thunder Mountain (which is GREAT at night and we were in the front car). Margie and Steve did the Alladin Carpet Ride (they got wet again)! Got home around midnight. Set the alarm for 8, didn't budge until 9:30!

Love Big Thunder Mountain at night! That is when we always try to ride it. Great views during Spectromagic also.

Your report is making me miss WDW sooooo much.
