Park Hours Confusion

I was just on the official WDW website. It says that the Magic Kingdom Park Hours for April 10 are 9am-12am. And for April 12 the MK park hours are 9am-12am. Here on INTERCOT I clicked on the park hours link and there are different park hours listed for MK on those two days. I am guessing that Disney recently changed the hours ( maybe they are expecting more guests based on recent attendance?) Here is my question: Magic Kingdom is open April 10 9am through 12 am, but there are also Extra Magic Hours that night. Does that mean the public is kicked out at 12am and the resort guests can stay until 3am?

Well, they (the public) are sort of kicked out - they can stay and shop and eat but cannot get into/on to attractions and shows. And yes, the park is then open until 3am for resort guests!

Thanks MaxPower for the heads up! We arrive on the 12th. It looks like MK hours have been extended to midnight the 12th, 13th and 14th. Great news for my family of nightowls!
