I'll still say MGM out of habit. In 10 years people will probably have no idea what I am talking about.

To me it's usually "the studios" as I don't consider MGM to have anything to do with Disney. So, DHS will be an easy enough switch.

Just like for me the "Tomorrowland Transit Authority" is still the "People Mover", Disney Hollywood Studios will be MGM forever in my heart.

I've called it either MGM or the studios so Disney Studios is the most likely. Disney Hollywood Studios seems like too much of a mouthful.

Exactly! I have my young nephews calling it the people mover!! MGM for probably ever......

It's been MGM to us since DH and I first visited in 1993 on our honeymoon. It'll be so hard to make the change.

I would have called it DHS, but coming from Maine originally, its sounds too much like the dept. of human services, so I changed my mind and stayed with what I have always called it, "the studios". However I voted disney studios.

MGM...I think it's dumb that they changed the name. They should focus their energy on more important things, like new rides!!!

I voted for 'Disney Studios' though we already refer to it as simply "The Studios". Tricky to break the MGM habit...

Disney has had trouble with MGM from the beginning regarding contractual issues. The merger with Pixar opens an entirely new realm of opportunity for this park, as well as a graceful way to break ties with MGM.

I think that the name, "Disney Hollywood Studios," is temporary, anyway. I'd bet that the park will get a huge Pixar makeover as soon as they can take their focus off of the gigantic $1B+ re-build of Disney's California Adventure. My guess is we'll see "Disney-Pixar Studios" in about 6 or 7 years.
