    Default Leaving soon...couple of questions

    HI everybody!

I'm leaving in a few days and I have a few questions before I leave!

    1) I read on here awhile ago about a shop at Downtown Disney that sells something like a shampoo bar? Its like shampoo that you can rub on your hair. What store sells these?

    2) I have also read on here about holiday pricing. My question about this is, does EVERYTHING go on holiday prices? I know table service places do but what about snack carts and counter service places like POP's food court area? Also, what about shops? Does the price on disney items go up? When does this price increase start?

    3) I got an AP from the Disney Store so I have a exchange ticket ready to turn in. However, do I need to show the credit card that bought the ticket? The ticket was a gift and they will not be coming to show there credit card. If I do need a credit card, what can I show besides the card?

    4) I have noticed that SE may be having a public test run this coming up weekend. How can I find out if the ride is open without camping outside of it for hours waiting to get a ride. I LOVE this ride and really want to try it out!

    5) How long does the DME bus take to get to the disney area (not including all the stops) and how does the bag thing work? Do they just knock on my door and if i'm not there do they just leave the the bags outside like a cruise ship or do they open the door and leave them inside the room.

Sorry for so many questions. Do a LOT of new things this trip and want to make sure I have everthing covered before I get there.

    Thanks!

This is for certain holiday buffets only

No way to tell if and when they will be doing a soft opening, luck of the draw. DH got on EE back in 2004 2 months before it opened, but it was just one of those things...

45 minutes to an hour to get to WDW. And they will leave your bags inside your room.

    2. I don't think the prices of the food carts or even the food places changes from season to season.

    3. Don't know. Since you said they are gifts that makes sense that you wouldn't have the credit card. Just have photo ID with you.

    4. Don't know, sorry
    5. Again, don't know, sorry. We never used that service.

    Have a great trip

    Default a few answers

Number 4: There should be a CM standing outside SE- even if it's closed. Ask them if they might have a soft opening that day (and when). Also, the CM's at the Information Boards may have some info about SE.

I don't know how you could find out info while at another park or resort.

Number 5: When DME works perfectly, you'll be at your resort in 30 minutes! But- don't make any important ressies (like a meal, etc) too soon after landing. The last time we used it, the line to get on the bus was long (there are corrals at the loading area in the airport), then our driver was new and got lost (!!), and when we finally arrived at the resort, another DME bus was unloading- so we had to sit on our bus until they were finished. Total time from landing to resort was over two hours. Our luggage was luckier- it was waiting for us at the resort.

Your luggage will not be left outside your room. Also, if you're arriving late (and don't want to be awoken when it arrives), ask them to hold it until morning. Give them a "latest delivery" time, then the first person up can call for it .

Since the others answers your questions in detail I will answer the shampoo bar question in detail.

The shampoo bars are available at Basin in DTD. This is my FAVORITE store! My DD loves the shampoo bars because they have some fabulous scents. She loves the beach-y scents. It works like soap, lots of lather, and does leave your hair smelling nice and clean.

They sell for about $4 a bar or you get a special price if you buy a tube. you can fit 4 or 5 bars in the tube.

*AP.... you only need the AP voucher and an ID. Bring the receipt incase there are any problems.

Thanks everybody for answering all those questions. Glad to know I won't be needing a credit card for the AP. That had me worried, lol.

    Thanks again!
