Default no cheese sauce at Pecos bills!!!!

ok my favorite part of the fixins bar at pecos bills was the cheese sauce! Silly I know! But when we were there a few weeks ago I found out they no longer have it!! Cosmic Ray's used to have it too so maybe i'll check that out next year when we go back. But I was really sad about that!!

I know what a disappointment! It used to be awesome dip for fries. That has actually been gone for awhile. I can almost see the end of the toppings bar altogether after what I witnesses not once, twice but several times while in WDW last week. People were actually trying to make mini salads from the toppings bar! It totally amazes me what some people try to get away with. Its one thing to take a few extra pickles or something but to try and make a side is crazy. It would not surprise me if that next time we go they ask right then and there when ordering what you would like to top your sandwich with and do it for you.

3 years ago when a group went, we ate there one evening at Pecos Bills. One of the girls in our group was getting some cheese sauce, and on her way back to the table, the little cup that held it got knocked over, and the sauce fell on her hand. At the time, that sauce was HOT. And its fairly sticky so it doesn't come off easy. She immediately dropped her tray, ran to the bathroom to wash it off, and then went to the infirmary where she had 2nd degree burns all over her left hand. It was all blistered up for the rest of the trip. She was none too happy the rest of the evening and the next day (luckily it happened towards the end of the trip).

If this was more than just a one time event, I imagine removing the sauce from the fixins bar was a smart thing.

When we went earlier this year, I just asked for a cup of cheese sauce when I placed my order. It was included with the burger and sitting on my tray when I picked it up!

When we were there one year ago, you had to order cheese sauce with your food. I can't remember if they charged us or not, probably $.75 or something like that.

    Default It's still there...

They still have the cheese sauce... you now just have to order it. It's 50 cents for a cup (a big cup... think "cup of soup"). Just went there yesterday and put half the cheese on my burger and dipped my fries in the leftovers.

This information is correct. Unfortunately, the cheese sauce is no longer included in the famous toppings bar. I think it got so popular, and Disney was so often refilling the container, that somebody realized he could make a few bucks by selling the sauce for a nominal fee.

I was just there this week, and was very disappointed that they didn't have the cheese sauce at the toppings bar. I asked a cast member about it, and he said that I needed to get back in line and buy it (in those exact words-how helpful he was) There was no way I was waiting in line again for 20 minutes for cheese. Haha.

Last October we got the cheese sauce for free by asking while waiting for our order to be prepared. In January I happened to ask while ordering and they added a dollar to the bill and I said nevermind. This last trip we didn't go there at all.
