Anyone Know The Story Of The Ghost Charlie On POTC?

Does anyone know the story of the ghost named Charlie who is said to reside in the Pirates ride?

I have heard of this but I have always heard the ghost name is George. The tale I have heard is that he helped build the ride and had some sort of accident and died while the ride was being built. Now every day before they turn on POTC the CM must say hello to George other wise the will have problems with the ride. No sure if it's true or not but I have heard it many times.

Yes, George, and it's fun to talk to the CMs about it, even the ones who don't really believe say hi to him. One CM told me he didn't dare not say hello or goodbye, he heard of certain things happening if you didn't.
