They removed Rusty Blade? Oh No! We were totally looking forward to seeing him. I am glad the barker bird is back but what did they do with Rusty? Will he be appearing elsewhere?

I was surprised to find that as well, but recent Guest reports have indeed indicated he is gone.

While it seems a bit nonsequitur to replace him with a much smaller animatronic, it could deal with the fact that he was a 3rd party Audio-Animatronic that (at least appeared to be) below Disney's typical standards.

No word on if or where he might re-appear.

Lesson learned? I hope so!

I'd love to see a few AA's added to the closing scene of the Gran Fiesta Tour. Right now, it's just a mural with the voice of Jose (I think.)

Extra Illumination

4/2/07 Disney has internally announced that that Epcot will be piloting a new Illuminations schedule during the month of April:
At this time, it is unknown when the expanded scheduled would be implemented on a permanent basis if the test is deemed a "success".

Was this a success? Any chance of a second Illuminations this month?
