1. Fear of flying
2. Freedom of having own vehicle
3. Cost of driving vs. flying (family of 4)

We drive from NJ. Last trip we drove straight through, takes about 18 hours with stops.
We, too, think of it as part of the vaction. And it costs typically half of the cost of airfare.
