OK, To summarize all the clues:
1. Could be used with water?
2. Strong willed
3. Child
4. If it was the first clue it would be inflated before using with water. The same spelling is a name of a character.
5. - the characters name is in the title of the film
6. Film is older than (Moana) or Nemo (has also had a couple of sequels)
7. More human than Ariel. And younger.
8. Film much newer than (Peter Pan) (first decade of this century)
9. Four letter name.
And it's not Nemo, Ariel or Moana.
That's a lot of clues and I'm still not sure. How about Lilo?
Don't know how that fits clue #1 or #4.
It is Lilo. A lilo is a long inflatable oblong that you float on in a swimming pool or the sea. I did check that it was apparently known of in the US before using the clue but maybe I got it wrong.
Interesting: I had never heard of that definition we just called them air mattresses in the US, so I learned something new.
Next Puzzle:
1. Loyal like a dog, but I'm not one.
2. Discovers and rescues the victims of the villain.
3. Easily startled
At least where I'm from we just call things that float "floaties". Never heard of a lilo.
