Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Staying there for one night on Nov. 9. Has anyone stayed there before? If so, what did you think of it?

I stayed there for 2 nights two years ago in a family suite. I liked the hotel a lot! I would definitely stay there again. I really liked the food court.

We have stayed there twice now. We did have a few issues during our first stay that I really thought would prevent us from staying there again. Brought the issues to the attention of an onsite manager and she seemed determined to make things "right". Still we had every intention of returning to our "home" resort of Hard Rock on future trips. Yet somehow the resort kinda grew on us, and the very next summer we found ourselves back at cabana bay and had a wonderful time. We just can't beat the military rate we get there, around $150 a night in a family suite that could sleep 6. Thinking about going back in a few years, and although we would like to try the new resort, we would have zero issues staying at cabana bay again.

Thanks for the replies! Mainly I picked there because I'm just staying one night and don't need the express pay perk (going by myself so will hit up the single rider lines), and it is so much more affordable than the other resorts.

The kitschy theming and everything look kinda fun though and like the idea of early entry.

I know you can walk or take a shuttle to the parks. Have any of you walked from there to the parks? Is it a reasonable walk?

We have never attempted to walk to the parks from Cabana Bay. Actually that is the main thing we missed by not being at Hard Rock (the close proximity to the parks - more so than express pass). However, bus service has been extremely reliable from Cabana Bay. I don't recall ever waiting more than a few minutes for a bis to arrive. Most times there were buses waiting as we walked up. I don't think you will be disappointed.
