Harvey
I live in Houston. Harvey is predicted to bring devestating floods to our region over the next 5 days. They are saying it may back track then stall out right over Houston for days. Possibly 20-30 inches of rain! I am a native Houstonian and this is some of the most devastating weather predictions I have ever heard. Please keep our region in your prayers. We could use a little magic and pixie dust too Mickey!

Julie,
We will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. I lived in north Houston for 3 years and I know it doesn't take much water to cause a lot of problems.
The rain just now started (Fri 330p) here in the north Austin area. Y'all stay safe.

I spent five years in Houston- 1983-1988. I know what a rainstorm can do. I hope you are as ready as you can be. Hopefully you and your place will not float out to the gulf.

Stay safe everyone in the areas affected by this storm!!

Hope everyone has enough Shiner and Lonestar to make it through! Good luck.

Hope all is fairly OK for you today. You're in our thoughts and prayers. We're down here in the Valley, where some residents of your area are being evacuated to. Our schools have even announced that their ready to take any children being relocated due to Harvey. Stay safe!

Hope everyone affected is safe, keeping you all in my thoughts. Please check in when you can.

Hi everyone. We made it through okay. The water came into our house however it was not bad and did not stay for long. We were VERY lucky. I have several close friends and staff that lost everything...literally everything. Several of my staff got out with the clothes they were wearing and nothing else. The generosity has been humbling and I have seen a lot tears that were more from joy than sadness. We are still in recovery mode here in Houston but I know we will be better than ever soon. Thank you for all your well wishes.
