The email left me confused as well.
I thought it was pretty sad that they would sell a shirt for an attraction they razed over a decade ago.
But, people will buy them. So many people still have this as their favourite ride, even though it has been YEARS since they rode it.
If people will buy it, Disney will make it. :)
I don't have a problem with them creating and selling merchandise for "vintage" attractions that are not here anymore, but for them to call it an anniversary - that's wrong and kind of sad.
I was almost tempted to buy one...but the design on the back to make a difference between the 3 shirts seemed sort of small. I did get a retro type Epcot shirt this yr.
I bought one. Love that robot butler!
It was part of the limited time magic program currently running. I grabbed one & I love the nod to the vintage WDW! Now if only they would release an If You Had Wings or Alien Encounter shirt
I thought it was sad too and I never even rode Horizons :(
My natural inclination is to be cynical about Disney's nod to nostalgia as a crass cash grab. Better to just see it as an opportunity to get something that pays tribute to a past great attraction, even if Disney didn't seem to appreciate what they had at the time.
Horizons was my fav. I'll get one. I heard about it on a Horizons Facebook fan page. BTW - these folks are hard-core Horizons devotees. They make their own t-shirts and are circulating a petition to bring Horizons back.
