Rumour: Parts of Innoventions East to Close September 2016

Epcot Cast have reported that two of the four remaining attractions in Innoventions East are planned to be closed in about one month.

Storm Struck and The Sum of All Thrills are reportedly set to close September 14, 2016 leaving only Colortopia and Epcot Character Spot operating in Innoventions.

It has not been reported if new exhibits are expected to re-open in these locations or if this is essentially the beginning of a phased, permanent closure of the pavilion.

No public announcements regarding the closures have been made at this time.

My blue sky heart is hoping that it is being cleared out for a future E Ticket.

We were/are huge Innoventions fans. So, this makes me sad, if the buildings are just going to be left empty. If (just if) this is the start of a bit more of an Epcot re-vamp, then I'm excited. I don't trust Disney these days though ...

Aw, that's a shame....the Sum of All Thrills is fun.

The leading rumor candidates for utilizing the Innoventions space include 2 DVC Kiosks and a Meet and Greet for the next 6 Disney live action remakes of previous movies.
