New Prices Increases for Some Walt Disney World Tickets & Park Hopper Add-On
The Walt Disney World resort has raised prices on several ticket types in their new date based system.
The primary impact appears to be 1 Day Tickets for Peak Attendance Period (ex. near Christmas). This ticket type has increased $20. The new $159 price tag is considered a new 'record' price for a single day, non-boutique theme park ticket.
Smaller impacts have been made to multi-day tickets for Moderate - Peak attendance periods (ex. around 4th of July). This ticket type has increased by ~ $8-$9.
Also of note, the Park Hopper add-on's have all increased by $5.
Pricing in (currently) Moderate, Moderate-Low, and Low Attendance periods have remained unchanged consistent with the announced intent of using this new date based system more evenly spreading crowds through-out the year.
It could be expected that this pricing trend will continue where Walt Disney World makes it more expensive to visit during historically peak periods of time.
