I just found out yesterday that I got accepted into the Walt Disney World college program, and I couldnt be more excited!!! I am going to be working in operations and I leave August 27th for the fall semester.
I knew the people here at INTERCOT would understand how awesome this is, so I had to share the news!

My role was hospitality, but my DH was operations, he was a jungle cruise skipper!
I was also a campus rep for over a year, so..obviously I love talking about the program!

Congrats! I did Fall 01 but left after 9-11. I'd probably still be there if it never happened! You'll have so much fun! I loved every minute of it.

I've said in other posts, and I'll repeat here, that I've often found the college program CM's to be among the friendliest and nicest CM's in all of WDW. Good luck!

I was accepted to the program in 1997 but basically my overprotective parents :paranoid: decided FL was too far from CA (I grew up in CA) for their "Baby". I was 20 at the time. :rolleyes: BIGGEST regret of my life was letting them talk me out of it. :shake:

I Will def. let people know where im working and that's funny that your husband was a junlge cruise skipper! Thats the job I want? Do you they give you any choice when you get there? Is that how you two met?
and everyone who said they are or know someone going?? for this semester? that's awesome, I dont know anyone else, that's prolly what makes me the most nervous about it.
Congrats! I just found out that the oldest son of people we know from Scouts will be going in August, too. I wish I had known about the college program when I was in college, although my first trip wasn't until after I graduated from college and I really didn't get hooked until we made our second trip.
