Six to eight people per car is not going to be very good throughput, especially at park closings. How fast/slow are these things going to run? The idea is nice, but it will be more a novelty than a valid transportation option.

They will be moving at about 6 meters per second or about 13 mph. The longest ride from CBR and Epcot will take about 4.5 to 5 minutes. The system can handle 3000 to 4500 people per hour in each direction or 6000 to 9000 total. That’ s 10 to 15 monorail trains per hour.
Yep, it’s legitimate transportation not a novelty.
As cool as these are, I will never consider these a legitimate replacement for the monorail expansion. They are going to make so much money with the Fox properties (in addition to Star Wars and Marvel), surely by now they can afford the monorail expansion? ;)
