So, I have been thinking that this would be a good thread so people can find out about snacks they thought were a great deal on the DDP. I know there is a list of what is included as a snack on the DDP, just thought this would be a little twist on that.
For me, I think it would be the order of 3 beignets at the foodcourt at POFQ. I can't believe all 3 counted as one snack. My DH, DD, and myself split it and were full after eating it. What is everyone else's secret gem of a snack?
My favorites, besides the ever-popular Dole Whip, are:
Chicken fried rice (1 snack credit) and spring rolls (2 rolls, 1 snack credit) at the Yak and Yeti Quick Service in AK.
One large cinnamon roll at Starring Rolls (1 snack credit).
Crepes at the crepe stand in France (1 snack credit).
The very yummy cinnamon rolls at the Norway counter service -- they are huge!
anything in the glass at the villians sweet shop, at hollywood studios. amazing!!!!
How about what used to be a snack credit?
A couple of years ago you could buy the box of doughnut holes in the gift shop for 1 snack credit and a half gallon of milk for 1 snack credit.
I agree with those who mentioned the ginormous cinnamon rolls. They are a meal in themselves.
I haven't had it yet, but I hear the breaksticks at Pizzafari are a snack credit. I've seen them and think that's a great value.
I have never used the DP but am anxious to try it.
Just about any of the baked goods at Starring Rolls. DH and I made a couple breakfasts out of a couple snack credits there!
The delicious goodies at the Confectionery in MK. Some of those chocolate goodies, and the huge soft cookies make a delicious snack!
The chocolate dipped pretzels at Goofys are always a hit with us. I'm so hungry.
You guys have mentioned several of my favorites and in return, I'll add one of my new ones: the small Mickey Mouse cakes from the Boardwalk Bakery. :mickey:
giant hand dipped oreo's with butterfinger crumbs from goofy's :cloud9:
or 3 hand dipped pretzel rods
I have heard that the hand dipped oreo's from Goofy's in DTD ids no long a snack item. Anyone confirm this?

The Mammoth Pecan Patties and Toffee Bars at Seashore Sweets shop on the Boardwalk, and double scoop ice cream cones from the same shop and the ice cream parlor on Main Street in MK! Yummy!!! :tasty:
OK, you mentioned the 3 beignets at POFQ......I can beat that. Each time we've done it we've scored the 6 beignets as a snack. I know, go figure. I didn't do anything special or hide anything at all. I simply got them, went to the cashier and announced I was using a snack credit for them and was rung up that way. No one disputed it at any point.
We've stayed at POFQ on 2 separate occassions during Free Dining and have oredered these multiple times (I'd guess at least 5 times) and it has always been a snack.

The Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich at the Main Street Bakery....yummy and big enough for two!
1 year ago we were able to get a huge Sundae at Everything Pop. 3 big scoops of ice cream with any toppings you watned. Hope they still do this because we are hoping to do this again next year. :thumbsup:
Where at in France? Anyone else have any other tips on snacks that can double as small meals. We tend to eat big breakfast and dinners with a very small lunch to tide us over until dinner. This time I am thinking that we may be able to use our snack credits for this instead of using them for bottled waters/sodas as we did last time. We felt we did not get our money's worth for the snack credits on the last trip.Quote:

Most (if not all) of the items at Epcot's F&W festival are available for purchase using a snack option. And believe me, there are some really good choices.
Personally, I can recommend the following:
Munich (Germany) - Sausage in a Pretzel Roll
Ireland (Canada) - Lobster & Scallop bisque/pie!!!
Canada - Cheddar Cheese soup!
Is there an actual 'list' of all of these items somewhere? We'll be going in 22 days, and have been several times before, and never realized you could get all that stuff for a snack credit. Are the 'snack credit' signs posted by these places? :confused:

That was a wonderful list! However, we'll be going after the F&W, and I was looking for all the snacks that are available throughout the world. Anyone have something like that or can you tell me where I could find a list? :D
I've seen such a list, but I don't think it was on Intercot. However, take a look at this page, Disney Dining Plan basically it's every snack under $4, and all locations will have the DDP logo beside the items that are eligible.Quote:

Heh. Oh the DDP. The one and only time I did it, I remember filling up our carry-ons with various prepackaged snacks and bottled water (yes, simpler times when bottled water was allowed past security.)
After reading all of these, the WATER BOTTLE HOLDER is definitely the funniest thing you can get with a snack credit. I wonder how they taste. ;)
