From what I've read, the new day comes online at 6AM EST.

6AM??? Can we confirm that??? If that is the case, I shall be up at 6:00AM just to make sure I get le Cellier LOL...
Just wanted to pipe in here:
- I emailed DVC the day the system opened up and haven't heard back from them yet.
- Since we're within our 90 days, I was able to book a lunch at Y&Y, include information about a celebration, and email it to a friend. The celebration information appeared on the confirmation email I received.
The whole thing was very fast and painless.
Lisa, apparently booking HDDR with the DDP is an issue for even the WDW Dine reservationists. There is a special field they need to click and oft times they do not. It might be best that you call them directly and let them handle that ADR.
So we still have no time frame for when us DVC members can book online ADRs with the 90+10 option??? What time do the phone lines open??? If the system allows for people to start booking online at 6:00AM as rumored, and the phone lines don't open for another 2 hours, that kind of leaves the DVC members behind....
Yeah, my window opens in about a week and I'm hoping they fix the DVC mess by then. :(
I know it is new so a lot of people will have questions. First, is there any way to link your online ADRs to your room like you do when you call on the phone. Also, is there any way to view existing reservations.
I have tried but I can't view my ressies yet either. I made one ressie via online and it shows up but I have tried inputting my phone ressie confirmations and those still do not show up.
I used the online system and it was simple and worked fine. If you are making a bunch of ADRs it can be time consuming because you have to enter a specific time and keep going back and changing time if it's not available. Also, BE CAREFUL TO DOUBLE CHECK THE AM or PM. I had put 7:10 and forgot to change to PM and noticed at last minute.
A few of these glitches exist in the online ADR system the TA have been using. Not sure why they would bring the system live to the general public when it still has issues to be resolved.
When in doubt...call
Thanks Ellen, for the info on the HDDR ADR.
I heard back from DVC member services today:
I sure wouldn't want to be a member of the team that didn't think through who all the stakeholders were. Makes you wonder, huh? I wonder if this system was outsourced or done in-house.Quote:
Disney Vacation Club Members can book dining reservations "90+10" days in advance of their resort reservation by calling the Disney Reservation Center (beginning at 7 a.m. EDT) or Member Services (beginning at 9 a.m. EDT). The new online system is in its early phase and there are segments that the system currently does not recognize. These have been identified and we are actively working towards solutions.
What does work, is a pleasure to use. Too bad they launched without all the "segments."
Yeah I have no idea why they launched when a good portion of the population isn't able to use the system to its fullest. I don't know what the percent of TA and DVC bookings are to the total number of bookings, but you'd think that it's a set that's significant enough for thought prior to releasing the ADR online system.
I just discovered this today and tried to change some reservations online because I have been calling and couldn't get anything. I already have reservations but am still trying to get Ohana's when I want it. I put in my confirmation # and telephone # and it says there is no such #. I couldn't get it to bring up O'Hana's to check dates. It just said call the phone # for ADRS. I'm going to try again later and see if it works better.
FYI!!! I was just able to book an ADR with my DVC confirmation #! Of course I cancelled it immediately because I was just playing around with it. I went on the WDW website to(just for giggles because I knew it would be all booked) check availability for Cinderella's Royal Table. I thought that it could be booked 180 days in advance instead of 90 but it wouldn't let me search past Sept. But out of curiosity after reading this thread, I entered my DVC confirmation# just to see if I could retrieve it and it did! It let me book Cape May Cafe for July linked to that DVC ressie and sent me an e-mail confirmation and everything. I went right back in there and retrieved it and cancelled it. I guess this means the whole DVC issue is resolved now? I never imagined that it would get fixed that fast but after my experiment it looks like it is.
I was told that the TA and DVC issue are one in the same, so if they fix one the other fixes as well. If that is how it is actually presenting, I do not know.
But if DVC res's are working, then we cannot be far behind.
