Exactly. Their bravery is as limited as their knowledge of the rules.

Really do agree that the flashes don't bother to much but when people make remarks about why you are sitting in front of them and ask if we could move to the outer sides ( my wife one side and me on the other side) so they can get clear pictures, that is pushing it to far. Been to WDW over 20 times and they were the worst all time. They had a tripod set up on his lap and the CM said nothing. Some people would scoot over but I was not.
The flashes seriously irritate me to the point I have to fight with myself to keep from grabbing the camera/phone out of their hand and throwing it.
We had this happen a couple of times our last trip. The first ride it happened on I just fumed and didn't say or do anything. Over the next hour or so I had an epiphany and devised what I considered a brilliant plan. The next ride it happened on a few hours later, which was Pirates one of my favorite rides; someone was just clicking away and I said loudly "NO FLASHES." They continued anyway so I fired up my flashlight app on my smartphone, set it to strobe light and pointed it back at them (they were behind us) for about 15-20 seconds. It was more than long enough to get my point across. Guess what, no more camera the rest of the ride. lol
I am going to use the strobe every time I encounter a picture taker on a ride from now on and I am prepared to just leave it on the entire length of the ride if necessary. I figure that if enough of us start doing this, it will force WDW into taking some sort of action.
