F&W Beverage Seminars?

Hey gang,

I'm wondering whether or not it's worth it to sign up for a beverage seminar during F&W? I see that they are super affordable but are they just an advertisement for that particular vineyard for an hour or is it worth my time? Has anyone done one of these that can describe it for me?

I have done a beverage seminar and a culinary seminar. I preferred the culinary seminar but I do not drink very much so your opinion may be different. The beverage seminar did not feel like an ad for the brand to me.

At the beverage seminar, the presenters talked about the history of liquor. The one I went to was a cocktail presentation so they also discussed how to make and mix the cocktails. They gave use samples of 3-4 different cocktails, explained how they were made and asked us to rate each one. Over all it was a very enjoyable hour.

At the culinary seminar , the chef cooked the recipe and gave a presentation will cooking. Everyone was given a sample of the food and a glass of wine.

I think any of the demonstrations are a nice way to get out of the crowds, relax and have fun.
