Fishing at wdw
So I just booked our room for April of 2015. We are staying in a family suite at All Star Music. My dh loves to fish and thought I would book a 4 hour tour for the two of us. Can anyone that has done this please tell me if it's worth the money? Did you catch any fish? Thanks in advance for help.

While I personally have not experienced a fishing excursion at WDW, I was able to watch one group near the Wilderness Lodge Boat Dock area.
There was one guide, two fishermen, and a really cool bass boat. They were catching fish regularly (mostly medium sized bass, probably 2-3 lbs.). Of course it is catch/release. As we waited for the boat to MK, they must have caught 4 or 5. It was fun to watch, and made me sorry I hadn't booked that myself. Why not try it! :mickey:

Every time I go to Disney I ask (here) if someone would like to split a trip... I'm the only one of our 4 that will fish if given the chance.
I never get any bites... *(terrible pun)
It's been 7 years and I think it was around $300.00 so I was looking to split it.
Unless there was a toxic spill that I didn't hear about I would think fishing would be wonderful.
A fishing Mag I saw in a Dr. office 15 years ago
listed Disney world lakes as one the best Bass fishing locations in the country.

Members of my family have done the fishing trip a few times and loved it. My father, brother in law and nephew went one time and my parents, aunt and uncle another. Everyone caught plenty of fish and had a blast. I'm not into fishing so I've personally never gone, but from what my family says, it's well worth it.

Thank you for all the info. Haven't made a decision yet.

With the Disney bucks we accrue with our Disney Visa we like to try a splurge item at Disney - things we wouldn't normally afford. Last trip we did the fishing excursion and LOVED it! My boys and husband caught more fish than they had ever and I enjoyed the scenery and took plenty of pictures of the resorts and EPCOT from a vantage point you don't normally see. I highly recommend it!

April can be a very good time of year for Florida bass.
