Special Needs child
Hi. I'm new here and am planning on a trip with my family in the spring. My daughter is severely mentally and physically disabled. She is currently at a mental age of about 9 months. We are wondering if there is a discounted ticket price for the severely mentally handicapped.
Thank you in advance.

:welcome: to Intercot!!!
There is no discounted ticket price that I'm aware of, but you can get a Guest Assistance Card (commonly called the GAC on the boards) which will help you negotiate your trip better. For instance, it can help you avoid some of the longer lines that your daughter might not be able to wait in.

You know what, you never know until you ask. Call Disney, explain the situation. I'm guessing that with her disabilities she would be extremely limited on rides she could participate in? Maybe with a Dr's note there is some sort of discount. All they can say is "no".
Keeping my fingers crossed and wishing some pixie dust to her. I hope she and your whole family really enjoy your time together.
Have fun!:mickey:

there are no discounts for tickets nor dinning plans. My brother is 16 and mentally 18mths. He is feed with regular food but we have to puree it and feed him. He has been to wdw a few times and there has been no discount but at dinning places they would puree his food for him. Also with the GAC he was able to use it for being in a wheelcahir and being legally blind.
