I say Disney, you say.....
This year at school I am teaching a Media Studies class that focuses on pop culture and the media that surrounds us on a daily basis to grade eleven students.
Yesterday, my students and I were talking about companies and, of course, Disney came up (thanks to me :mickey:). What we were discussing was what kind of feelings or images come into your mind when you think about a certain company.
For example, I said, "McDonalds" and they said "Big Mac, Golden Arches, toys, fries, children's playground" and so on.
Then I said "Disney" and they said "happy endings, fairytales, Aladdin, Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, Simba." It was interesting that "Mickey" only came up once (shocking to me).
I was talking to my sister and Brother-in-law today about the class so I tried them out and asked them, "I say Disney and you say..." My brother-in-law said "Aladdin" and Beckie (sister) said "Mickey Mouse."
For me, I don't know what it is, but I think "Splash Mountain."
So, here is my question to you:
I say the word "Disney" and you instantly think.......what? It can only be ONE thing.
It could be Walt, a character, a park, a movie, a book, an attraction, a feeling.....anything!
I say "Disney", and you say......
