Are the lines longer at PoC since they added Captain Jack and co.?
I noticed that they have not added fastpass to it. I wondered what kind of lines I can expect in late September?

I have not been there since the rehab BUT....Even on the busiest days we never had to wait more than say 20 min. to ride POTC. I would guess the lines still arent too bad, Certainly not bad enough to warrant a fast pass designation.
I was there in June. During the evening, close to parade time, POC was a virtual walk on. The refurb is well done, and a very good improvement in my book. Don't miss it, even if you have to wait a little.
I visited WDW Sep 2005 (pre-refurb) & Sep 2006 (after refurb). In Sep 2005, the wait was only about 10 minutes. In Sep 2006 (after the refurb), the wait was 20-30 minutes.
I was there in the afternoon (around 2) in July and it was crowded, but I don't think I waited more then 20 minutes. It was worth it! :mickey:
I was there the end of April/beginning of May. I think we went on this in the early evening. We went on the left side and it was so empty my mother was worried we had taken a wrong turn and were in a cast members' only section.
I saw it last August, 2006, there was no line at all. In June this year, the line was very minimal. I don't think September will be bad at all, since the last time I was in the MK in September, virtually everything was a walk on, including Space Mountain.
In March, the lines were a little longer than they were for the rest of the park, but still wait-able. Maybe 15-20 minutes, max...? It definitely wasn't bad. It IS more popular, though.
The lines were longer, but the change is insignificant. Before the changes, I never remember waiting more than five minutes for Pirates of the Caribbean, and most of that time was spent walking through the dungeon.
Since Captain Jack Sparrow joined the ride, I've seen 20-minute waits.
POTC is our family's first ride tradition each year. When we get there at park opening it is walk on. Even in September we have seen the wait times at 20-30 minutes in the middle afternoon. That is not common the rest of the day though.
POTC is our favorite ride.
We were there in June. When we first got to the ride, the line was all the way out to the stroller parking. I was afraid we were going to have to wait in the hot sun for a long time but the line moved very quickly and before we knew it, we were under the shade. It was a long winding line but moved quickly. I think the longest part was the walk through the "dungeon" and I think they have increased this part because I don't remember walking this far at this point before the rehab. The ride was good but seemed too short for me. For that long a walk, the ride needs to be longer.:) I didn't see a lot of changes except for the addition of Jack Sparrow. I'm not sure what the total wait time was but it wasn't more than 10-20 minutes.
I could not remember the last time POC was not a walk on (5 minute max) wait during our regular May visits. This past May the wait (week day) was posted 45 minutes when we approached. We waited until posted wait was 20 minutes - ended up being less than 10.
We were there two weeks ago. We walked on POTC after riding Jungle Cruise first thing in the morning. Later in the trip, we rode POTC at around 3:00 and waited 15 minutes. No problem! Jack Sparrow looks so life-like! (And the "real" Jack Sparrow in the show outside walked right by me and posed for a picture before taking the stage! Not bad!:cloud9::mickey:)
i went in the middle of june and it was a 30 minute wait in the middle of the day and a 5 minute wait at night.. but worth the wait no matter what it is
I cant wait to see it. we have never had to wait that long...hope it stays that way:)
Last week, mid-day, the wait was about 20 minutes. I love the additions them made :)
i went in july and walked right on once, and waited 15 minutes the second time
We went closely after the rehab (Fall/2006) and waited for Pirates longer than we can remember. But like all rehabs, the newness for daily/weekly/monthly guests wear off, and the queues fall back to normal.
Either way, take your time during the best queue in all of WDW!
