I work as a travel writer and my assignments are primarily on the west coast, including DL. :clappy:I am thinking that since I will be going to DL yearly, it might make better sense to have an AP card. I will be going primarily with my hubby. DO we both have to have one or is it just one card per family? I checked out the website and the Deluxe looks good for us. Can you get into the parks anyday you want (excluding blackouts). Our dates this year are June 1-4.

It's one pass PER person, so everyone would need their own pass.
I have had an annual pass for about 4 years now ... and I love it! I manage to get to the parks 3x a year or more, and the pass really does pay for itself ... I get the Premium and take full advantage of all the discounts, and even utilize the free parking every once in a while.
With my pass you can go the Resort any day of the year, with the Deluxe you can go on any day that isn't blacked out -- and on blackout days you can go if you pay a fee. The only downside with the Deluxe is you don't get all the discounts (especially the one on merchandise!) -- I put a BIG dent in the cost difference between the Deluxe and Premium just by the money I save every time I eat at restaurants or counter service and especially when I do my shopping!

We went to Disneyland a couple of years ago. We wanted the freedon to go into and out of the parks even if we didn't stay the whole day. The structure of the multi-day tickets didn't make any sense to us financially for the amount of time we were going to be there so we bought annual passes. It worked out well for us even though we did not return during the same year.
So, would we not need park tickets if we have the AP? If so, this would make it a better option for us. :yay: We'll be retuning in July 2010. Deluxe would work for us since I have gift cards to use for the shops.Quote:

Yep, the annual pass is a one year-long ticket good for any day that's allowed by the purchase price, just make sure you check the calendar and make sure it's not a blackout day. If you are going in June of this year, the pass wouldn't be good in July of next year unless you renew the pass.Quote:
