You need a car. I don't think there is any other way.
You could take Amtrak or regional rail but would have to take taxi from train stop. Not sure how far a taxi ride that would be. I know DC train station but have never gotten off train in Baltimore.
The Amtrak station is far from Camden Yards. A cab would be needed. This trip would be quite an undertaking (time wise and financially) using public transit. You'd have to check the train schedules to see if it would even be feasible.
You can take the Metro Green line to Greenbelt Maryland metro station and then take the rail to Camden Yards from there:thumbsup:
It's not continent but it's possible. Do what the above poster said. There is a train that you can take from the greenbelt station to the light rail. You have to walk about a block. It's not right there at the station.
Alternatively, perhaps you could take the train to Dulles or another DC area airport? There is a shuttle from Dulles to BWI but I am not sure about the time frame for that shuttle.
Leave at least two hours. It may not take that long but you wouldn't want to miss your game.
The light rail should only cost a few dollars and the shuttle used to be free, but it has been at least five years since I used it. If you by a day pass all metro busses, light rail and metro is included.
A cab from the D.C. area to Baltimore would probably cost quite a bit. If you wanted to go that route it would be cheaper to rent a car.
How did everything work out? Hope you had a good time despite the loss.
:old::knit::baseball: Thank you for all the helpful suggestions. We just returned home today.(Saturday) Saw two great games! To get to Baltimore we took a bus to Union Station. The Marc to Penn station then light rail to Camden Yards. Return only needed the Marc from Camden Yards to Union station then Metro to hotel. Sounds complicated but wasn't to bad. total cost for each of us was $17.50. Only reason we didn't take the direct Marc train to Camden Yards was the last train left at 8am, (game was at 1 pm) We were so impressed by all the locals who were so helpful ! Everywhere we went someone would ask if we needed help. One women actually walked us to a :mickey: bus stop to make sure we road the right bus and made sure the driver knew when we needed to get off! Again thanks for all the help!
