I had to think about this for a bit. I was tempted to go for a fancier dessert with a view, or maybe a dessert drink on the monorail line... but... I think I have to say an evening colossal sundae at Beaches and Cream. ...that's my dessert memory, and the boat ride (and walk by the pool) are a nice reprieve from the park. Plus, it's kind of exciting seeing those Kitchen Sinks get delivered.
The best dessert I have had at DW was back in 2006,Pumpkin Cheese Cake at Garden Grill. It was to die for. The second runner up was the mini desserts at Grand Floridian Cafe.
For a snack, I love German Chocolate Cookie from the Confectionery (Main Street in Magic Kingdom)
For Counter Service, I love the Chocolate Mousse or Creme Brulee at the bakery in France (EPCOT).
For Table Service, I love the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake at the Liberty Tree Inn (Magic Kingdom) tied with the Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce in 'Ohana (Polynesian Resort)
For Signature Dining, I love Valrhona Cake served with Cappuccino Caramel Crunch Ice Cream at the California Grill (The Contemporary Resort)
I'm normally a chocolate lover, so this is sort of out of character for me. I really enjoyed the Orange Sesame cake at Sanaa. I'm willing to go back just for that.
The sundae I had at Everything Pop was really good to, and a pretty good value on the meal plan as a snack credit.
The Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream!
Maple Creme Brulee-LeCellier
My favorite is the Almond-Crusted Cheesecake with Lambert Cherry Sauce at Narcoossee's. It's amazing. But Ger's Bread and Butter Pudding at Raglan Road is close, which is a fluffy bread pudding with delicious sauce and ice cream.
I love the bread pudding at 'Ohana. Love it!
But my most memorable dessert was at Yak & Yeti. Fried Wontons - Skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons, vanilla ice cream, honey vanilla drizzle. No, I don't have it memorized but cut and pasted it from another site. It is so yummy, I did not want to leave anything out.
No contest.... It is the Almond Crusted Cheesecake at Narcoosee's.
We had a LOT of great desserts on all of our trips, especially our last trip, but strangely enough, the BEST dessert I've had at WDW was during our 1999 trip, at Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco Pavilion. The dessert was a flakey pastry topped with vanilla creme and toasted almonds, and I believe it was called a Bastilla. Best dessert EVER! :mickey:
My number one favorite was from Yak & Yeti TS. It is the fried cream cheese wontons. The wontons are on skewers along with chunks of pineapple. It is topped with a vanilla sauce and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It's like a party for the mouth.:cloud9:
I usually go for chocolate, so this is a welcome suprise. It is so light after a big meal. I would go to Yak & Yeti just for the dessert, but the food is good there also.
I love the dessert wontons at Yak and Yeti!!! I wish I could make them at home but Im sure I wouldnt make them as good as they can...
I also like the Ooie Gooey Carmel dessert at Liberty Tree and the S'mores dessert at HS in the 50's Cafe!
I like the fried wontons at Yak & Yeti, the bastilla at Marrakesh and the grapefruit cake at Brown Derby.
For the Fiance hands down Ohana's bread pudding.. I make it occasionally at home but its never the same.
For me, it use to be a chocolate moose from France but alas it hasn't been on the menu the past few years..
Strawberry Shortcake at Sunshine Seasons in the Land pavillion of Epcot. I have dreams about the stuff.:cloud9:
The Creme Brulee at Chefs de France
