That is good to hear. We plan on going today.
Ooooh, what's the short? Love the shorts!
I'm excited to see this. I think we are going to go sometime next week. I'm very happy my sons (13 and 15) want to go see it with me. I think that says a whole lot for Pixar. Of course, they want to go see Despicable Me 2 with their dad when it comes out. All three of them love the first one. So funny!
I thought Monsters University was cute. If it had come out before Monsters Inc. I don't think it would have been strong enough to generate a second movie. But as a follow up prequel it was enjoyable.
I loved "The Blue Umbrella".
I wasn't impressed with the Blue Umbrella.
We got back from Monsters University a little while ago. The kids loved it and I really enjoyed it. Monsters Inc is one of my favorite Pixar movies. I think this works very well as a prequel but agree that it helps to have seen the first one.
I loved The Blue Umbrella but is was really my type of story. My mom didn't get it.
Overall MU is highly recommended by us.:D
.....what if the reason the creators of monsters inc. waited 12 years to make monsters university was because the kids who watched monsters inc. of ages 5, 6, and 7 years are now 17, 18, or 19 and off to college.....
It was a fun movie. We loved all the hidden stuff.
Saw it yesterday and loved it! Little Mikey was about the cutest thing ever!
I also loved Blue Umbrella. Very creative. I love the shorts almost as much as the features!
Very great movie! Also a great short! I will definitely see it again!
I loved the movie (and definitely will be seeing it again), but was not a big fan of the short
Loved the movie. I went by myself because everyone else was busy. I sat in the corner and laughed.
I could not wait for the blue umbrella to be over.
MU was cute. I agree the kid version of mike wazowski (?) was soooo cute! :)
I didn't care for the story of blue umbrella. Too much like the love letter one.
We went to see MU yesterday and it was an entertaining couple of hours and worth the trip to the theater. However, at the end of the movie both DH and I said well it was definitely better than Cars 2. So in general for a sequel or prequel it was good but I agree that it probably wouldn't be considered great on it's own - as opposed to all of the Toy Story movies which I think qualify as great on their own and stand alone. But yes a lot of fun to see little Mike.
And I really liked Blue Umbrella but can see why it wouldn't be for everyone and the plot was similar to the paper airplane short with Wreck it Ralph.
Also wasn't really impressed by any of the previews. I can't say that we are looking forward to Planes and the trailer for Frozen didn't provide much to go on.
DH and I saw it this weekend, and we loved it! There were quite a few spots where the entire theater was laughing out loud.
I love how they (without giving anything away) explained or eluded to some things that were never really explained in the original movie.
And, I loved the Blue Umbrella. I thought it was precious!
We went to see it last weekend. Honestly, none of us loved it. It was okay, but kind of dragged a bit.
To be fair, Monster's Inc. is not one of my favorite movies either. We really only went because it was offered as a sensory friendly film this month at the AMC and our kids can't do the regular theater.
I did love the Umbrella short, and I think my boys enjoyed that more than the film. I was HIGHLY impressed that it looked SO realistic (other than the umbrellas, obviously). I mean, I was floored by that.
I'm glad we did see the movie, though, because we are going to WDW this summer and the Monster stuff is apparently everywhere, so now it's at least familiar to my boys. They have not seen Monster's Inc. nor do they really want to.
:mike: :sulley: We finally saw it a few days ago and really enjoyed it. We may be among the few who liked it better than the first. DH and I were cracking up pretty hard at some parts, much more than the rest of the theatre. That tends to happen to use a lot... lol.
As for Blue Umbrella, we thought the story was OK, but the graphics were stunning!!!!
We STILL haven't seen it, but plan to in the next few days. So, I must ask, did anyone miss Boo?
I didn't miss Boo, either.
