First off, this is just a casual discussion, not a rumor or survey...

So I will possibly be moving to Florida in a month or 2, and of course I've been looking into purchasing an Annual Pass for one of the area theme parks. Certainly I was thinking about doing the Florida Resident AP at Disney World, but I looked at Universal, and if you purchase a premium AP one of your benefits is one time Express lane (Universal's Fast Pass) access at each attraction after 4pm every day you go. This benefit has not only gotten me thinking about Universal over Disney, but also purchasing their premium pass over a much cheaper resident pass, as I'd be comfortable going any day, be it Spring Break or a quiet January evening.
I have to be honest, the access to the water parks and golf course are not worth the extra $120 to me, but some sort of an enhanced fast pass would be.
So, for those of you that hold either Florida Resident Passes or Regular Annual Passes, if they did that would you consider the upgrade? I'm wondering if they will consider this with the new + system.

So I might be moving to Orlando soon for a job on the North side of downtown. I think it will be 3 12 hour shifts per week rather than the standard 8h/5d, so that kind of puts some flexibility in how far I am willing to be from the job. Does anyone think a certain part of Orlando is better/safer? I looked at apartment reviews for East Orlando (as far out as the airport), South Orlando (near you know what :mickey:), West Orlando and North Orlando, up towards South Sanford.

Aside from North Orlando, all the complexes have reviews of crime, break ins, vandalism etc. The fact that these issues seem to happen across all communities is making me nervous. I'm wondering if the area south of Sanford but not quite in Orlando is my best bet. I'm certainly not going to let one incident that the media has blown way out of proportion scare me away (as much as I hate to say it stuff like that happens everywhere). Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I should look into apartment communities?
Once again, as the workweek is compressed I'm willing to pay extra in gas money in exchange for a better living arrangement.
Any help is appreciated, then comes the next question... AP for Disney, Universal, or both?

Perhaps I should purchase bracelet before the trip, and just enjoy adding beads from WDW? Also--are the bracelets all basically the same style at Disneyworld? Anything flexible?

Last year when we were leaving AOA i went to check in at their airport desk and was told there was an issue and couldn't check my bag there, i would have to do that at the airport.
well i get to the airport and check in and when i get to the gate i find they over-booked and we were bumped along with one other family.
the husband made a HUGE fit, i didnt really mind things happen.

My concern for next time is how to avoid this? should i check in online through the airline directly the day before?
