Most everyone loves seeing the Characters at Disney and I'm sure lots of you have taken adorable pictures of your kids or gotten family pictures with the characters. Does anyone have any funny or cute stories about when you or your kids met some characters; or any other stories (embarrassing ones, or ones about rude guests) with the characters too.

Me and DH went to epcot and went in to get our pics taken for the free 5x7 with a disney visa. The characters were Goofey and Minnie. Well we had our pics taken and went to leave and Goofey grabed me by the arm and wouldn't let me go, so Minnie grabed DH by the arm as well it was so cute of them to interact with adult only, I loved it and it made my day.

Well with me I had a fun time with Minnie Mouse,Mad Hatter,Alice and Cinderella in three differnt times. With Minnie I was getting my picture taken with Princess Minnie she want me to give her a huge so I did but when we were getting ready to take are second picture she turns around and gives me a kiss. And another time with Minnie which was not to long ago. I had on my new Mad Hatter hat on that I just got. Now I had it the way he puts it on. Minnie didn't like the way I had put it on and told her cast memeber to tell me to turn it around so I did. The next month when I went to Disneyland I when to see the Mad Hatter with my Mad Hatter hat on. He told me that I had it on wrong and he took it off of me and put it on the right way. I told him that both my mom and Minnie told me the way I had it on the frist time which was Mad Hatter's way was wrong. He told me "Never listen to what Minnie and your Mom say they are always wrong." I laugh at that. and at the same day when I got my hat and when to Minnie I when to see the Parade of Dreams and I was video taping it. Alice and Mad Hatter's float came by. Mad Hatter was doing his lines and he saw me and said to Alice No room no room exsept that person over there. Which he was pointing at me. Alice goes were and Mad Hatter pointed and Alice said to me and Mad Hatter. He's an imposter Hatter goes I know what is a imposter. Now with Cinderella she call me her Prince Charming as I was getting ready to get my winter picture of the winter Cinderella.

A few years ago, we were on Mickey Avenue at the Studios and we saw Chip and Dale, who were my Mother's favorites right after Dopey. Mom was in her wheelchair, minding her own business and laughing at Chip and Dale interacting with kids.

One of them noticed her shirt, which just happened to have a large picture of Chip and Dale on it. They came over to my Mother, and Chip sat on one wheelchair arm and Dale sat on the other. They then proceeded to play "squeeze the lemon" with Mom as the lemon.
:chip::dale:
It was definitely one of our most memorable character encounters!! :clappy:

Another funny thing happened at Sea World with O.P.Otter. We were at Dolphin Cove, when all of a sudden, O.P. "hijacked" Mom's wheelchair. He proceeded to wheel her to other guests and, with hand gestures, introduce her to them. He also tried to give her to another family. Mom was laughing so much she had tears streaming down her face. At one point, we heard his Sea World escort tell him "Now O.P. you just can't take a person from one family and give her to another!!" :funny: :funny: :funny:

ive got a few crazy ones... when i go to disney with my family, my sister doesn't like waiting in line for the characters (even though she's younger than me. lol), but i do. so i'll go off on my own to see them. in the toontown hall of fame area i went to the minnie room. i was the last person let in for that gorup because i was a single person. so after me minnie and donald went on their breaks. so goofy and i were alone with the photographer and i think a character person, (not sure about that person though) anyways, after i took a picture with goofy, goofy got down on one knee and took my hand. the photographer was laughing. i was like omg, what is going on here... (btw, i said no to him.) but now when i look back i find it cute and funny. it must have looked funny to see a 6 foot goofy proposing to a 5 foot 16 year-old. lol

We always see characters even if it is just to get a hug. Unfortunately, with Goofy, those hugs always turn into an "incident" as my daughter's hair gets caught on his buttons. It has happened several times. I always wonder if we are getting a "same" Goofy who remembers this occurance. Goofy always stays in character and plays along but sometimes he seems to get a bit nervous.

This past October I was in WDW with my mother and sister. One of my favorite restaurants at WDW is Askerhaus in Norway although neither my sister or mother will eat there with me. I found out just before we were going that Askerhaus is now a princess character meal all day. I was disappointed a bit because at the time I was more interested in the food and waitresses at Askerhaus then any of the princesses. Well, that changed as soon as the princesses saw a single guy sitting alone at a table. I think it may have turned into a contest to see who could flirt with me the most. Alice won. Although Alice had an advantage going in. In 2000 my sister and I took a backstage tour and got to see the dressing and makeup area. There I saw two of the most beautifull girls I've ever seen, both dressed as Alice. This Alice at dinner figured out fairly quickly that she had me wrapped around her little finger. When she came over to my table she came up behind me and said "Now this isn't right". She then went over to where the other chair would have been, knelt down and said "I'm supposed to be sitting here having dessert with you aren't I?" I took pictures of the other princesses (They were literally the best and prettiest I had ever seen at WDW) but Alice was the only one I got my picture taken with.

This past Friday we were at the Character Connection in Epcot. Since my son is in a wheel chair they took us down the ramp instead of the stairs. The characters there were Mickey and Minnie, Pluto, then Chip n Dale. They took us to the middle to see Pluto first. I thought they were just going to send us around as the other's came available, but while we were visiting with Pluto, out of the corner of my eye here come Chip n Dale to play with our son also, and soon enough here come Mickey and Minnie. We were surrounded. One of the CMs took the video camera from my wife and sent her into the mix with us. We were in tears they were kissing him, touching him, playing with him and we got some great photos between the CM using our video camera, one using our camera, and the photopass photographer. One of many wonderful experiences this past week.

Okay Master Gracey has Alice as his character that wanted romance, and my character wanting romance was Tigger. But this Tigger was outta control, When my mom and I went to Crystal Palace a couple years ago , I was 24 at the time we came in and I said "hello Tigger" and Tigger put his hand over his heart and then he grabbed me and started twirling me around and hugging me. Later on as he was bouncing around the restaurant, he came up to my table put his arms around me from behind and started kissing me and then the guy dressed as Tig made some serious smooching and sexy growling noises, lol then he went and sat next to my mom and pretended to whisper in her ear that he wanted to marry me, and my mom said "I'm sorry Tig my little girl is spoken for" and Tigger pretended to cry, lol then as the Hip Hip Hooray parade went around the restaurant Tig, stopped the parade at my table, all the little kids bumped into him and he pointed to his Hip sign and then me and then gave me the Hip sign, lol...then the castmember or restaurant manager went around looking for the signs and I gave him the Hip sign and he's like " You'd think it'd be easy to find a big sign that says "Hip" on it...

I'll never forget that Tigger and wonder if the guy inside was half as cute as he looked in his cuddly orange outfit. lol

Last year we were at Character Connection at EPCOT. It was my birthday so of coursse I had started the day with a stop at guest relations for my birthday button. Well when Donald Duck saw the button he proceeded to make a huge deal out of it. He even got down on one knee, proposed, and kissed my hand. I was laughing the whole time as were my parents, best friend, and everyone else around. We got it all on film too! I never thought I'd be proposed to at the ripe old age of 17, especially not by a duck!:donald:

Every time I go to the Crystal Palace, I have to tell Eyore to stop kissing on me. I always, wonder, is Eyore a boy or a girl. No offense to anyone, but I'm hoping it's a guy, both inside and out.

Well I have a new story to tell you all of what happen yesturday at Disneyland.

I was in line to get my picture taken with The Queen from Snow White and as I was this little girl I would say about 3 or 4 years old kind of came up to The Queen but you can tell the little girl was scare of her so The Queen sat down with this little girl and started to talk to her in a sweet friendly kind of way to were she know not to be afrad of her. So after she left The Queen when back to her evil ways and when I got my picture taken another little girl about the same age came up and did the same thing as this other girl. When The Queen finish talking to her the little girl gave a hug to the Queen and The Queen give her a kiss on the head. I tell you The Queen when far out of her role to make sure these two girls were not afrad. I give The Queen a big :thumbsup: for that.

This one goes back several years. 1st trip with my two oldest DD's 4 & 2 at the time. Picture with Winnie the Pooh's gang. Tigger decides he wants to play leap frog with my wife. Well my youngest starts to cry and Tigger in his playful way starts to try to console her. This makes her cry and sart to run away to me. Of Course Tigger starts to follow. My DD4 decides to help out and goes to Tigger to hug him and let her lil' sissy know its OK. It took awhile for her to realize what is suppose to happen but it was cute and funny.

I have tons of wonderful character experiences and they are all good, however, one stands out more than the others. When my little girl was 3we visited Studios to see The Little Mermaid's show. The Little Mermaid was her favorite character. After the show, my daughter was very disappointed because she couldn't visit with or meet Little Mermaid. Chip was walking around the corner when he noticed my daughter's sad face as she hung her head in disappointment. Chip ran up to her, gently patted her back, sat right down on the street and held/hugged and rocked my daughter for nearly 10 minutes. It was the most touching experience to see Chip consoling MD and turning that frown into a smile. :girl: But that's what Disney is all about! We love Disney! The Queen
