I have a 37 foot motor home and am looking for input on which area is best to cam in. We would like full hook ups and want to be in an area where the kids are close to the pool and gift shop. Thanks for your help.

We like the 1000 loop for exactly that reason - it's close to the pool and the gift shop.

We travel with pets so we have to stay in the pet loops 800,700,300 but the loops from 1200 down are where you want to be. Close to everything.
91 days and counting!!!!!

I would then recommend the 1500 loop.. you are close to the campfire area , the meadows trading post, and the pool . basically you are in between the check in area and the marina

I think the 1500 loop has partial hook-ups only.

If you can live without the cable, I would highly recommend loop 900. It is right across the road from the Meadow Trading Post, as well as the bike barn, pool, tennis court, and the campfire program.

If you can live without the cable, .
But then you could not watch the " must see at WDW that runs over and over and over and over again.. A trip would not be complete to WDW with out watching Must see !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not worth the cable anyway its all paid disney advertisements. Half the channels is about what to do at the parks.

But that's part of the experience! :mickey: At least it is for us. Pop it on in the morning and let the resort channel or the general info channel pipe its dippy version of Disney music wend its way into our daughter's brain.

But I think the ratio of Disney to normal channels is more like 1:3 or 1:4, with Disney being the 1. Of course, 10 or so channels were duplicates with closed captioning turned on or in Spanish or Japanese or Chinese, so maybe you're not so far off base for the English speaking crowd. Maybe 1:2.5.

Anyway, it's how we get up and at 'em.

I'm not sure when you are going... We are going late October and when I called last week to book... everything in FW was sold out except 100-300 and 1600-1900.

This was sad for us because our favorite is 1300. However, we went with a preferred non-pet loop which is either 100 or 200. It may be nice to be close to the beach area. I was told my the CM that 300 and 1600-1900 are all pet loops.

We were told that it's not possible to reserve a loop. We've been twice and were always "placed." We're going in late October as a Grand Gathering so we entered a preference (200) which we were told is nearly always granted because we're in a group.
By the way we have two extra adult tickets to the Oct 27, MNSSHP if anyone wants a deal.

hey... don't know if it's the same Oct GG, but I read where the group is in 900? Could be different gathering.

1003 was a really great spot and easy to get into. I would recommend either the 1400 or 1000 loop.

You can ask for a preference, but the best thing I can say to you is when you book with them explain the size of your RV, how many slides you have, how big your awning is, what ammenities you would like, and approximatly where you would like to be. We have never been led wrong. If you go expecting something and you dont get what you want you might be dissapointed. If you give them the info to the best of your knowledge and let them get you a spot to suit you and your needs you wont be dissapointed. They are good at picking sites. They have for us anyways.

I have not been on this site in quite a while and jumped on today to see what was going on at Ft Wilderness as we will be there the week between Christmas and New Years..This year: 2009.

If you look I originally posted this question about site recommendations back on February 20, 2007. I was very surprised to find this thread was still alive and kicking after 2 years.
