What is the strangest thing you ever saw a character do? Either out of the ordinary or just plain silly.

For me it was Pluto in the Toon Town Fair Tent character greet. We were let out late from meeting Pooh and friends and when we came around the corner Pluto was just coming in from outside and he walked over to the corner and lifted his leg....as to pee. My DD (4 at the time) thought this was hysterical. She couldn't believe how naughty he was peeing in the house! Odd but cute at the same time!

For me, Tigger and Alice (anyone want to try and explain this combo to me) having a sword fight in the back of the Toy Soldier. Pooh was there too, but was signing an autograph at the time. :mickey:

For me it was at Epcot. I was getting Geppetto's autograph and after he gave it to me, he grabbed me and started dancing around the are. Took me totally by surprise.

I have a couple of cute/funny things.

At DL when my daughter was 2, Chip took her in her carraige and gave her a ride.

Just last year at Epcot, one of the characters from Robin Hood I think, big guy, took my mothers Electric scooter for a ride. He actually made her get off and drove around! Classic!

I never actually saw a character do something strange whenever I went to Disney World, but I do know that there's a Disney video on Youtube with Dolly Parton singing "Nine to Five" with a bunch of female characters including Cinderella, Alice, and Snow White dancing in the background in a way you've never seen before. Check it out on youtube, try to search under keywords Disney Dolly Parton. You won't be disappointed.

At 1900 park Fare Alice literally sat down and tried to force my 3 yr old cousin to eat her breakfast, talking about manners and all that. it was the funniest thing, next to the Mad Hatter running from my other cousin for her being frightening

Yes, the Pooh characters, Alice, and Mary Poppins meet in a shop in UK. Mine is from January. I went to the evening EMH at MK on New Years. There was absolutely no one in line for the characters (well, except for the Mickey/Minnie line). I guess the chipmunks must have gotten bored. So they took one of the Disney strollers and started pushing each other in it. I even got to push one around. Everyone was just cracking up. It was great.

Yes that Dolly video shows behavior that you normally do not expect from Disney Princesses.

I thought of something else I have seen that was funny. At Ohana, Mickey sneaked up behind Stich and stuffed a napkin in his ear.

I wasn't goind to post this, but I'll choose my words carefully. Over @ Toontown, we were in line for Princess. Well, cldn't hold it any longer, so the CM let me out of line for a bathroom break. I guess Pluto & Minnie weren't "expecting" anyone in their room, so they were getting some extra activity time in. Pluto, being a dog, on all fours, well, Minnie, being a mouse, on all fours. That Pluto him, I guess he just got a little too excited and jumped right on top on minnie.........and then he made moves that NO child should see  Yep, Pluto and Minnie were gettn at it!

We were getting the White Rabbit's autograph when either Tweedledee or Tweedledum took my autograph book right out of the White Rabbit's paws! They chased each other around until the rabbit gave up, and Tweedledee/dum put my book on a fence post behind the rabbit. It was funny!

This year, we went to get Captain Hook and Mr. Smee's autograph. When my dad was taking a picture, the camera wasn't cooperating with him. It was like 2 minutes later, and Mr. Smee turns away and pretends to hit his head on the building next to him!! OMG it was hilarious!!

Strange for this = not staying in character, but in a good way... we just got back & on Sept 29 went to MNSSHP for the first time. Stood right at the chain in front of the stage at the castle for the villians show -- right next to us was a family dressed as dalmations - the WHOLE family. They looked great! When Cruella came out, they heckled her the whole time. She couldn't stop laughing - totally not Cruella's style, but funny as all get out. I don't know if the family were friends with Cruella or not, but as soon as the show ended & the characters came down to do M&G, she practically shoved everyone out of the way yelling "out of my way kids, I got some dogs to see" and walked over for pics with the family. We were thrilled at getting to watch the exchange between them.

And, as a side note, any of you that saw the show & are also avid scrapbookers like me -- there is a line of stickers out that feature Villians -- and the pack I bought had just about all the villians I saw at that show -- Jafar, Capt Hook, Cruella, Evil Queen, and Malificient. I was thrilled when I found them! Just FYI if it applies to you

Many years ago when I was a teenager, we went to DL for cheerleading comp. :cheer: I took a pic with Goofy:goofy:, who was a little bit too friendly with his hands (nothing really volger). Upon meeting up with my sister later that day she said she had the same thing happen when she took pic with :goofy:

this happened to me a loooong time ago. When Dreamfinder and Figment were out walking. I went to get their autograph or something and had a figment hat (it was purple with orange horns) and Everytime Dreamfinder would talk to my older brother Figment would grab my hat in his mouth and would throw it. It happened many times for a few minutes back and forth like that. We have it on video somewhere, but man I loved Figment!

Back before we had kids, my wife and I had gone to the Studios and took pictures with Chip (or was it Dale?). My wife took her picture with him first and then when I went over for the picture, right before my wife "clicked" the photo, Chip elbows me in my ribs. We have a great photo of me doubling over next to Chip. We still crack up at that.

This experience took place back in 2002 when the Pooh Playground was a villian meet and greet area.

My daughter was too scared to go meet the villians alone, so my husband went with her.

They had gone through a few, and were at Jafar, when all of the sudden, before I could get a picture, Cruella DeVil comes over and stops the whole thing?!

Come to find out, my husband was wearing his "I'm with Dopey" shirt (the one with Grumpy pointing to his right) and it was pointed at Jafar! Cruella showed Jafar and he was not pleased! He made my DH stand on the other side of him for the photo. Cruella said, "We villians have got to look after each other, don't we Darling?" :D

Well, it's really a tie...
The first oddest thing was at Epcot we were leaving and walking through the International Gateway towards the back of Epcot and Friar Tuck, Rafiki, Tweedle Dee or Dum, (can't remember which) and Ratcliffe and Geppetto came out for a meet and greet as we were leaving. We stopped because we watched Friar Tuck & Rafiki sit on the ground and pray together! LOL My husband joined their circle, it was so funny, than he got up and noticed one of the Tweedle's dancing to the music from the U.K. Pavilion, while Ratcliffe chased Geppetto around in a circle trying to catch him! It was so hilarious, we've never seen anything like it since!
The other oddest thing was at the Magic Kingdom with Goofy, it seemed he was having a mid life crisis of sorts, the character handler was talking to him and he just sat down and put his head in his hands? My husband tried to make me go over to Goofy to get a picture with him but I refused, it looked like Goofy was having a major meltdown, very odd.

Back at Christmas time 2002, my mom, sister, and I went to the 2000 Leagues Lagoon to meet characters. We saw Ratcliffe, then Jafar, and the we met Prince John from Robin Hood. I give him my autograph book and he signed his name then the Batman logo on the back of the page. He did the same to my sister's but he drew a tiara for the princesses. I thought this was funny. lol :mickey:

The funniest thing I ever saw happened at Cal Adventure. We were watching the Block Party Bash and we were sitting in the area where the Toy Story 2 Characters stopped. We saw Woody and Jesse and everybody else dancing around. Mickey and Minnie were also there. Jesse started dancing right in front of us, when both my DH and I both noticed that the zipper to jeans broke and her fly was down. We tried to get her attention but were sitting right at her feet so she couldn't see us. Finally, Mr Potato Head noticed and let poor Jesse know. Jesse then walked up to Minnie and Minnie tried pulling up the zipper for her right there in front of everybody, but it wasn't working, so Jesse had to be escorted backstage in the middle of the parade. It was hillarious.

Interesting character stories...

this past summer mom and i were waiting for dad to get off splash mountain, and brer fox kept going in and out every 5 mins. or so. i was leaning up against a pillar and he kept sneaking up behind me and playing with my hair and stuff.
back sometime in high school. when toontown had the "villian room/line." brer fox (once again) picked me up.
"breakfast at Cinderella's castle" captain hook sat down at the table and tried to eat my aunts breakfast with his hook.

My husband & I honeymooned in Disney and I will never forget how when we met Tigger he tried to remarry us (we had on Just Married Pins) and then he tried to run off with me waving goodbye to my husband! It was a lot of fun!

Outside of Splash Mountain, Bre'r Bear got my cousin to turn on the water fountain for him because he was "thirsty" (pointing to fountain and pointing to mouth) and then splashed all the water in my cousin's face. Now my cousin is a big guy that you usually wouldn't mess with...I will never forget the look on his face. Classic :mickey:

I'm not sure if anyone else will find this amusing, but I thought it was great...

I went to the MK early one weekday morning, and it was rather empty. I was in Adventureland and Wendy and Peter were doing meet and greets. Since there was no line, I went to go get a picture.

I was wearing my visor. On one side of the hat, I have all my Disney pins. On the other, I have the others, mostly video game and anime related. Wendy looked at my hat and said "Well, I recognize THOSE...but these other pins look very interesting!" Peter then took a look and started SPAZZING out. "WOW! I know her! *pointing to my Rikku from Final Fantasy X pin* These are from different video games, right?!" I nodded and added some were also anime related. He was just so excited when I told him that. If Peter Pan is the forever a child, he's sure done a great job staying in-touch with what kids today like!

Last year we had two crazy moments with characters, both at AK...
THe first one happened when we were having a family picture with Stitch. Just as we were posed and ready, Stitch turned to my DD (age 5) and licked her face. :stitch2: We captured it on film, she still thinks that one was pretty cool. The other one happened at Rafiki's PLanet Watch with the moving/talking recycling bin (he does have a real name- can't think of it now). My oldest DD was dressed as Pocohantas, so he kept calling her PJ (Poco Jr) and then my youngest DD's name is Caroline (she had her GOH badge on), and he kept following her around singing, "Sweet Caroline", by Neil Diamond (which is her FAV. song -go figure). He must have followed us around for a good half an hour, introducing the girls to other CM and guests, when it was time for us to leave, he asked for hugs and kisses from the girls and kept shouting, "I'll miss you my friends..." My DH thought he was annoying, but the girls and I thought it was fun!

While at Chef Mickey's, Chip brushed my sister's hair with a fork.

While at another character dining at MGM (not sure the name but it isn't there anymore. We think it was located where Playhouse Disney is now). The Genie walked by our table and stole my sister's Goofy hat and was wearing it around the restaurant. My sister got up and stole her hat back and then he literally kicked her out of the restaurant. It was hilarious!!!!

While we were in Magic Kingdom for "Little Ones Extra Magic Hours" last September. Pluto bit Captain Hook and Captain Hook began making a big fuss about it and even went and told Mickey - who thought it was funny and petted Pluto for his behavior.

Greatness...

I haven't seen it but I seen pics....

My sister went to nurse her baby in the nursing area, while in there, she ran into a bunch of the princesses. Apparently, Cindy and Prince Charming have a baby. And Cindy was having some problems (you nursing moms get where I am going) and had to go nurse. Since all the princesses were apparently together, they went in with her to get out of the heat for a break. So while my sister was nursing my nephew my neice got some great pics with the other princesses. She said it was better then any character meeting she ever paid for! LOL

This character experience was strange, but it was funny. My family and I were eating at The Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner and after Chip was finished with our table he went over to this one picture on the wall and it looked like he was messing around with it. Minnie saw this and went up to him and wagged her finger at him. Then he hung his head low. When she left Pluto came up and they started rough housing with a pretend fist fight. Chip then moved on to another table when Pluto picked up a little girl's Stitch doll and put it on his nose. One of the waiters said, "Pluto,do you really like this doll", Pluto nodded. Then the waiter said "Then I will just have to buy you one." The Pluto put the doll down and ran near to our table and started acting all excited and jumping up and down :joy:. It was a very comical dinner.

Great topic!

Once while we were at Chef Mickey's, Goofy was at the front of the restaurant all by himself, and leaned against a chair or something and lost his balance and fell over. Apparently, I was the only one who saw it. Shortly after we were leaving and he was still up there, and so we stopped for pictures and such, and I mentioned the incident to him, and asked if he'd been drinkin' on the job? He put his hands on his hips and cocked his head at me as if to indicate his displeasure with my suggesting such a thing. He then proceeded to herass me in multiple ways, he "asked" my wife why she puts up with me and pointed to my beard and questioned it by making questioning shaving motions. The funniest part was when my wife responded and said she sleeps with me, he went running away, hands in the air as if horrified. It was great and highly memorable.

I had another incident with Goofy at Cape May when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the meal, he came around. When I came back to the table, he had taken my chair, moved it over next to my wife and was taking pictures with my camera. When I came over, I said "what's going on here", he made hand motions shewing me away. I said, "hey, that's my wife, and my camera", he stood and put his hands up as if to say he didn't know and offered me my seat back, then popped me in the back of the head and ran away.

Our funny experience was also with Goofy. My DD15 is a very shy girl, so she would hesitantly approach the characters. In Toontown we were in a meet-and-greet room that contained Minnie, Donald and Goofy, in that order. As my DD shyly approached Minnie, she was cut off by a 4/5 year old, so DD, not wanting to cause a scene, backed up and let the child go ahead. Well, Goofy, at the other end of the room watching was visibly annoyed (gesturing wildly) and indicated what had happened to his handler. They then cleared the room (after all photos had been taken) and my DD and I had the whole group to ourselves for about 10 min. Sorry to those waiting in line behind us but it was a fantastic experience. Goofy hugged and "noogied" my DD and we ended up with some absolutley wonderful photos and memories. That was by far our best Disney experience.
Not exactly a funny story (although the noogies were very entertaining, especially when Minnie tried to discipline Goofy for it) but I just wanted to share.

I'm currently a WDW Cp and have had many experiences with characters. My friend is a character attendant and I visited her in town square on Main street U.S.A she was with Gideon and Foulfellow and they attempted to put a kid in a trash can and also did the dance called the 'the sprinkler' it was hilarious. My experiences always deal with Goofy. A lot of Goofy moments. I love Goofy. I've walked off with him many times. for instance, I was at Chef Mickey's and basically walked off with Goofy.. he showed me to the staff and everyone and Minnie telling them i was his girl and then he tried to get me to a hotel room. He escorted me back to the table and pulled out the chair for me and told me to call him. lol
even today i had another encounter with goofy. He really liked me and made a gesture to call him again and I was like okay how am i suppose to call you you don't have my number. And he gestured to me to write down my number. He really wanted my number. so i gave it too him.
