Virtural Odyssey Day 6 - Patricia Does the Drop

Good Morning fellow stranded Intercotees....grab some OJ (not the guy with the knife) and have a seat. In about 2.5 hours one of our lovely moderators Patricia is hosting a group drop at the Tower of Terror.

Yes, all those crazy Internet friends of Janet are joing Patricia at the Hollywood Hotel for a group elevator ride to the 13th floor!! Only one problem....Patricia is scared to death, but she's being a real trooper and hosting this event.

What we need to do this morning is get Patricia psyched up for this event and help her put her fear behind her.

Well I'll tell everyone that we tried to get her to go on it Saturday and she refused. She said it would ruin the event if she had already gotten over her fear.

But ... She was also terrified to go on RRC and she did it with so, so my money says she goes. She's braver than you all think!

She says that when she was young she used to love thrill rides ... I kept telling her I didn't think they had made thrill rides out of stone, but she insists they did! http://www.intercot.com/boards/wink.gif

I rode ToT for the first time in like 3 years on Saturday (I was shamed into it by Janet and Jeff) and I forgot how much I love it!

I knew she would ... But Janet did say that she had her head buried in Janet's shoulder the whole time and was squeezing her arm and screaming. Basically she was a nervous wreck !

They did get pics but no video so we'll be able to see it first-hand when they get home.

I think RRC is much more intense than ToT! That's great that she overcame her fear! I can't wait to see the picture(if they post it)....I also have the kind of hair that is very very funny in ride pics so I always enjoy the ride pics of others.

FIRST HAND ACCOUNT OF THE DROP
Well, 20 people were signed up. 6 showed up. http://www.intercot.com/boards/blue.gif It's okay because the 55 minute wait actually turned out to be about 25ish or so.

Patricia was a bit reluctant, but still went willingly. She got yelled at by a cast member for playing with the circut breakers in the boiler room (she was trying to turn off the ride). I sent dpmac pictures of that... http://www.intercot.com/boards/smile.gif Included is a picture of her actually on the ride (taken by me! yay!) I don't think the on-ride photo was purchased.

What we learned:
*Patrica doesn't hate the ride, just doesn't like it.
*I know too much about the ride for our own good.
*Fantasmic has two Tigger backpacks.
*Certain individuals only have a dependability rate of 10%.
*Janet is now finished with pin trading after her morning at the MK. http://www.intercot.com/boards/wink.gif

That's the report i'm giving! Hope it makes everyone jealous... er... i mean... happy to know that we were there for Patricia!

I confess.. I was a whimp.. I begged CM's to help me get out, but NO, they wouldn't help!!

I just want to say that is still the worst attraction I've done. I am not a good free faller!! I really hate the part where they open the window and I have to be reminded how high I am. There was no way I could face the seatbelt seat alone.. I needed something to hang on to. (or someone in this case)
I almost killed Janet. I had my arms around her neck and everytime we decended I tightened the grip... (we went down 5 times.. the audio went like this: "is it over?" "not yet" "is it over?" "not yet" "is IT OVER???" "not yet" etc.)Tigg was probably glad to be sitting behind me when he saw what I did to poor Janet..

I could hear Tigg and Bryan laughing at me. I must have been a sight.. oh well... at least I did it! The picture was bad, so we decided not to get it and I really didn't want to try again. http://www.intercot.com/boards/blue.gif

Rock n Roller Coaster was so much easier.
