Today our lovely crew in Florida is venturing into enemy territory...TT5 is leading them on a group expedition into IASW!

See IAM's early post :

It's a Small World After All... (http://www.intercot.com/boards/Forum11/HTML/002832.html)

Anyone have any favorite stories from the IASW ride?

The only one I have is that Jimmy probably has a friend in my 15 year old after the last few years. A couple years ago, when our youngest son was 3, we had to go on IASW 8 times during our vacation, and the oldest was about to get very ill if he had to go again...last year we only went 6 times and the oldest was AWOL on a lot of those.

If you look at the new pics that Gary posted you will see that on Monday The Dolls had a 40 minute wait!!!! http://www.intercot.com/boards/eek.gif

I hope our intrepid explorers don't have to wait that long !

If the wait is that long, they should skip it and have a Dole Whip party instead. Maybe the wait is so long because the ride was shut down because all the dolls escaped! http://www.intercot.com/boards/eek.gif

I just got off the phone with the crew on their ride through !

They called me at work on John's cell and I could even hear the song in the background!

Everyone says hello ... I could hear Ed's silly string cannon firing away in the background and beanie-weanies exploding everywhere.

It wasn't pretty ...

In honor the event, I am wearing the skirt Janet bought me when she was up here last May! http://www.intercot.com/boards/supergrin.gif I didn't want her spending her money, but she finally convinced me. After all, it was only $1! http://www.intercot.com/boards/supergrin.gif

The only memories of that place are all bad http://www.intercot.com/boards/eek.gif

Did they decontaminate everyone after?

I'm almost afiraid to say this, but IASW is truly one of my favorite rides, but there is a limit to twice per Disney trip, and since I am averaging one of those every 3 years, that means I have plenty of time for the brainwashing to dissipate before I harm anyone else.

I miss those http://www.intercot.com/boards/devil.giflittle dolls.

This is the only event of the meet that I am not upset about missing.

Instead I am hosting a virtual ride on Carousel of Progress. I'm going to close my eyes, sing the song, and ignore strange looks from my coworkers.

No more IASW rides for us. We ended up in the last room the last time we rode it for what seemed like an eternity. If I had only been equipped with silly string back then. . .

I even held my fingers in my ears when we walked by it on our trip in May!

Glad everyone else is enjoying themselves though.

I too would avoid it if I had the option...

CoP is much more my type of ride!
