for all of us newbies. How long has this board been around? How did it get started? Who started it? How did it become such a great board with such great people?

Everything you can see is the brain child of none other than our lovely, talented, hard working, dedicated, and rather modest, webmaster John Yaglenski (and his little helpers). AND, one should never forget that what makes Intercot what it is on a daily basis is the wonderful community of people who enjoy spending their time here, helping one another and just playing! http://www.intercot.com/boards/smile.gif

I'm sure he'll give you the details, but we should make sure we never lose sight of one thing: this all started in John's office.

John's done a great job.

I'm jealous though because I get no traffic to my board. http://www.intercot.com/boards/dead.gif

Heh, nah, thats why I became apart of this group the other day. It's all good.

Thank you John!!! This is a great board!! Did you think it would be this successful when you started it? I love it!!!I makes me feel like I am at Disney. Also, I take a lot of grief from my co-workers who do not understand the Disney feeling. I am glad to talk to others who understand.
Thanks again!!!

I think that this board came into being around 1997 (though John can correct me here). I know I came on board as a "regular" in the spring of 1998. John has taken this site and continually makes it better. You used to have topics listed and replies underneath. And everything kept shifting to the right...until you practically fell off the page! http://www.intercot.com/boards/wink.gif

It is the people who make it the best site around though. I always try to be helpful and cheery to those who ask questions.

Of course it helps to remember that John and his crew, are JUST people. We don't know it all (well, maybe Imalismom is an exception! http://www.intercot.com/boards/wink2.gif ) and we're not affliated with Disney. We just take what we know and what we've learned and try to pass it on in a friendly way! Like everyone else, we all have "real jobs" (no John doesn't pay us! Although if he wanted too...) and real problems in life. We're not perfect, (well, maybe Imalismom is! http://www.intercot.com/boards/supergrin.gif) but we try.

There's only a few of "us" as opposed to all of you wonderful people. So please have patience with us some times if we don't get an answer to a question right away or if we don't give out the right information (we make mistakes! http://www.intercot.com/boards/shy.gif )

Thanks to all for coming here and keep posting! http://www.intercot.com/boards/supergrin.gif
