Here's our trip to MNSSHP. We loved it! http://www.intercot.com/boards/bounce.gif

Cast Members:
Myself (Sandra, age 34)
DH (Elwood, age 41)
DS (Matthew, age 12, well 13 in 3 weeks)
DS (Joshua, age 7)

Day three: Thursday, October 18th – We had managed to keep MNSSHP from Joshua for months. He had no idea where we were going or what we were doing until I pulled out our costumes. He knew we were dressing up for something but he didn’t figure it all out until we went to the bus stop and he heard people talking about it. Everyone at the bus stop (maybe 15 people?) were dressed up and ready for the fun. We saw a belly dancer, a girl in a Chinese outfit, several princess’s and two Buzz Lightyears. We had on our vampire costumes and one little Buzz wasn’t sure he liked the way we looked. He was really cute though!

We were handed a treat bag as we entered the park with some candy in it. The streets looked wonderful lit in the eerie colors and the giant pumpkin balloons flying over the castle were neat too! We went straight to Tomorrowland and had our professional photo made (which we got in the mail a few days ago and it turned out nice!) and then headed for Buzz Spin and walked on with less than a 5 minute wait, next was Space Mt. And we walked right on it. Next was the speedway with little wait, and we just worked our way around the park. We got tons of candy along with getting on the rides with little or no wait. We walked right onto the Tea Cups and the Madhatters were running out as everyone was loading and handing out candy with the CM’s chasing them off. Joshua thought that was hilarious too! Dad and Matthew sat the Tea cups out because Joshua and I have a tendency to make them a little sick with our spinning. As we were exiting the tea cup, Joshua was a little to dizzy and fell. A CM came running over to make sure he was OK. He was fine other than laughing. His dad has it all on video to remind him of when he’s older!

The fireworks didn’t seem that much different than regular nights but they were pretty and were going off at different places around the MK.

We lined up for the parade and the headless horseman was great but he came by so fast I couldn’t get the camera to focus for a picture. The parade was great and Hades stopped and posed for a wonderful picture. I have some wonderful pictures to post if I ever find the time to make a web page. I do scrapbooking also so these double prints will make a beautiful book.

We rode more rides and closed the place down at midnight. Joshua was asleep on the bus back but the rest of us were still keyed up from the partying. We got him awake and headed for our room where I gave him a bath and he was back asleep in 15 minutes! Our last two rides were pirates and Joshua chose some pirate stuff from the gift shop and a shirt. He’s also a huge pirate buff! We rode Alladin’s carpets and left for the night.

We all gave MNSSHP two thumbs up and will do it again if we are ever there at the right time again. If nothing else, it was worth not waiting in line for the rides. We all still have candy left! I was worried that it wouldn't be worth the cost but I highly recommend it.

Maybe someday we can make it for MVMCP too!

Sounds like you had an excellent evening!

I was happy to see your note about the short lines. I am ready for my MVMCP evening in early December, and have heard conflicting reports on the lines from years past. The whole point to getting the tickets was to have 'free reign' of the park, without the usual daytime lines.

I hope our evening is even half as much fun as yours sounded!

Wow! That sounds like fun.

I have tickets for MVMCP the first week of Dec. and hope it's as much fun as you had at MNSSHP.
