Hammer- The Solo Tour- Day 4, part 2

Still just me, staying at the Wilderness Lodge!

After resting for a little while and calling my sister (had to give her the details about my dinner at Chefs last night, as it is her favorite restaurant), I got ready for dinner and E-night. My PS was for 6:00 but I was ready early and went downstairs to see if I could be seated early. They had no problem accommodating my request. I had a nice window table that looked out to the rest of WL. Dark storm clouds were quickly approaching and I wondered if I was going to need a rain poncho for E-night. Decided I would go without it and take a chance.

Let me say I absolutely loved my dinner at Artist Point! I ordered one of their flights of Northwestern wines, which consists of a three different wines (I chose Washington state). Each serving is about 3-5 oz. The wines were quite good. I had the cream of asparagus soup for my appetizer and the salmon for my main course. Both were excellent http://www.intercot.com/boards/tasty.gif ! A tip for those who dine here: You must try the bread and the spreads that they bring out with your meal!! They give you a variety of different breads and two spreads, smoked salmon and roasted garlic. Oh my, both spreads were absolutely amazing http://www.intercot.com/boards/tasty.gif http://www.intercot.com/boards/tasty.gif http://www.intercot.com/boards/tasty.gif !! I am kicking myself for not getting the recipe! Well after eating my delicious salmon, I was really too full for dessert! That’s okay; I’ll make it a point to eat at this restaurant again!

While eating, skies opened up and WDW received a much needed 30-minute downpour! It was really relaxing eating and watching the rain. The rain was finishing up as I finished dinner and after running upstairs to put away my copy of the menu (I will mail it soon, John, I promise!) the rain had stopped when I went to the dock to catch the boat to MK.

Once there, I went to City Hall, received my e-night bracelet and headed to the rides. The park was still open to the general public for about a ½ hour, but I decided I was still only going to do e-night rides and headed to Splash Mtn. Practically no wait and I was in a log. Ride was great, as usual. Walked over to BTMR and once again, no line. Ride Tip: If you like a wilder ride, try and sit in the back car. I was in the back car and I really had to hold on, but it was amazing!

It was now 8:00 and the e-night had begun. They were checking for wristbands at all the rides, too. Decided to go back to Splash and I was placed in the front seat. Observation: If you are alone in the front seat, you will get wetter, probably due to the weight being lighter. I looked like a drowned rat! When the ride finished, the CM asked if I wanted to stay on and I figured since I was already wet, I might as well. I spent most of this time through really looking at the details and enjoying the marvelous theming! I got off the ride after this and headed back to BTMR to dry off. Was in the middle cars this time, but still great. Was not able to stay on when finished , but I went around and rode again. After that, I decided to head over to Tommorowland.

Rode all of the rides available here, but Alien Encounter. I have been on it once, and I am not motivated to try it again! Rode Buzz numerous times, in an attempt to become better at it, but still no luck. Ian, you need to share your Buzz score secrets with a fellow Sixers fan! I have to comment that putting the TTA as the substitute for Timekeeper during e-night is really dumb! I really like TTA, but it is not e-night material. They should put Jungle Cruise or POTC in my opinion.

I decided I was ready to call it a night at 9:50 after riding the rides in Tomorrowland numerous times. Who do I run into as I was leaving? Wdwacky, of course! Thanks to WDWDriver here at Intercot I knew exactly how to get back to the WL. I did not have to wait more than 10 minutes for a Boone bus at the TTC and was treated to the Electric Water Pageant while I was on the monorail! I got back to my room and caught the end of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals and then went to bed.

What a great evening! Artist Point is lovely (we didn't have room for desert when we were there either) and the e-night sounds great, even for them http://www.intercot.com/boards/supergrin.gif

Christine, I'm so glad you enjoyed Artist Point. We ate there for the first time last fall and loved it (like Mikki, we were too full for dessert even though that cobbler looked delicious http://www.intercot.com/boards/tasty.gif ). Sounds like a great E-Night!

Thanks for another fun installment! http://www.intercot.com/boards/smile.gif
