only 73 days to go!
have read and heard about pricy bottled water in the world.$2.50-$4.00 us a bottle!
we bought brita water bottles at wal mart for $7.00 canadian($4.00 us)
they have a replacable filter in the neck and hold about 20 ounces.
a big saving!
hope this helps save some bucks!

Good idea! I have also heard of just refilling the same bottle up with drinking fountain water.

Thanks for the tip

See my Dining Reports - we bought only 1 bottle of water on our whole trip because we brought these bottles along with us. We had to break down one day and bought a Zephyrhills bottle because we left one back in the room! I thought the water tasted delicious and stayed cool.

We bought two before we left - one for each of us. Unfortunately, there was only 1 plain one left at Target so one of us got stuck with a dorky soccer ball decal (usually me). We must have filled these up 10 - 15 times each day because it was HOT!!! That was a tremendous savings!

One more tip: we bought bottle straps at Animal Kingdom for $3 each, thinking we could use those around the neck. We were never really successful in rigging these up securely (there really isn't a lip on the bottle), so by the end of the trip we gave up and just carried the bottles. Since we don't carry anything else we didn't mind.

PS - we have now rigged up our bottle straps to some $5.99 water mister fans I bought at a local toy store this weekend. Even with the strap added they are still 2 for 1 as compared to the almost $17 for each fan at the parks - insane amount of money!!

Just to confirm...by doing this, you don't get that icky Florida water taste? And also, how many times can you fill up the water bottle using this filter? (Does one filter last an entire trip, say 6 nights?)

I just may try this - thank you!

No icky Florida water - and I am very picky about my water. At home we have ground water - some of the best in the country.

The filters are supposed to last three months. Since we used them so much in Florida and the water tastes horrible unfiltered http://www.intercot.com/boards/pukey.gif, we are changing them before our next trip in August.

Is fountain water easily accessible at DW, or are the fountains usually crowded?

You will find a fountain everywhere you find a potty. Sometimes there are fountains freely dispersed throughout the parks.

You can also get water from counter service restaurants. The Disney folks are really good about supplying water - they don't want anyone dehydrating in their parks.

Can I give them my water bottle to fill up,
or do they give a cup?

Thanks!

They will cheerfully give you a big tall cup of ice water if you ask for one.
