The Wedway PeopleMover was designed WDI as a prototype for transportation of the future. It's debut was at DL in California where it gave a tour of Tomorrowland. The DL version is now closed. But the WDW one has been renamed the Tomorrowland Transit Authority & it still going strong

This is a fun ride because there is never a line, you get a different point of view of Tommorowland, get some unique pictures and it is fun to look at all the people walking around down below.

I love this ride! Never a line! I love to put my feet up and just relax. On our last trip, we would scream as we were going into SM and people would look at us like what's going on???!!! Make your own fun!

It's one of the best places in the park to kick up your feet and relax ...

And I agree it's a great way to check out the line on SM !

We never miss this ride too. It moves just fast enough to give you a cool breeze on a hot day. I hope they never get rid of it. It's a Disney classic, along w/ the C of P in Tomorrowland.

I love this one too!! The Wedway and It's a Small World were our favorites when our two were very young and we were sooo hot and tired from carrying and pushing two toddlers, diaper bags, backpacks, video cameras (too large at that time -early eighties) in the hot summer sun. I have great memories of cool, sit down attractions!! http://www.intercot.com/boards/ksmile.gif
Have a Disney Day!!!

The Wedway was my favorite ride when I was a kid, and I still love the TTA. Since it's not a flashy ride, I think the TTA goes unnoticed by a lot of first-time WDW visitors. When I was younger, I thought the Wedway would eventually travel across the entire park, with places to exit at all the other lands. Wouldn't that be something ...

Make sure to check out the TTA video (and audio) at http://www.digital-disney.com/ . It really captures the experience well.

I absolutely adore this ride. I'm glad it's still standing, because I never forget to take a spin (plus a few) on it each and every visit. http://www.intercot.com/boards/smile.gif

I love the TTA. There is never a line and it is very relaxing for me. I also love to see Walt's vision of the future(EPCOT) and listen to the ride audio.

I've only been on the one at WDW, and agree, it's a great attraction, if only for the chessy factor. However, it got a little more cooler with the update to the TTA. The dialog is funny and appropriate, and it is a great relaxing sitdown ride, while also taking in the sites of Tomorrowland. Let's hope it stays around for a while... http://www.intercot.com/boards/smile.gif

TTA is what I call a "pleasant suprise ride" because it is a ride I skipped my first few times to WDW and wound up really liking when I finally experienced it.

Looks like I missed this one myself! TTA is one of our favorites too! My wife and I both like it because there is never a line and it is a good relaxing way to beat the heat. I love the announcements they make for each stop on the tour, and one of the funniest moments is when they warn passengers from Galaxy M-31 to "keep all forward-facing tentacles" clear of oncoming metro-liner vehicles. That is hilarious!
I like going inside and getting a glimpse of Space Mountain. You can hear the people screaming and see them getting ready to take off.
I'll miss hearing them say, "A time machine!" and I wonder what they'll say during that part instead.
Oh yes, I've also been known to steal a kiss during the darker parts of the tour.

Hang on to your personal belongings now, especially them hats and glasses, for this is the wildest ride in the wilderness!

I love the tomorrowland transit authority. It's so nice to just sit there and circle tomorrowland. I remember one day when I was at WDW with my mom and we had gone on space mountain one too many times. She had a really bad headache and I had sore feet (it was the end of the day) and we just rode the TTA over and over again. Everytime we went past the CM he would smile and wave at us. We must have ridden it five times without getting off http://www.intercot.com/boards/ksmile.gif .

Carol, thanks for bringing these back up, this forum has been a little http://www.intercot.com/boards/blue.gif lately. Love the TTA, it is so quiet and cool, and there is never a line. After hours of grueling touring, and you start to get a little hot and tired right smack in the middle of the day, I go on the TTA for 10 minutes of relaxing. http://www.intercot.com/boards/smile.gif

"This city is a dream. To make it real, we're going to have to reassemble Walt's ashes and rebuild EPCOT the way he envisioned it."

Relaxing, informative ride which was better as WEDWAY People Mover and not the lame commentary of TTA. But I'm not going to start any boycotts or petitions to change it back to WEDWAY.

This is an attraction we ride over and over and over and over and over and over........
It's especailly good it you happen to be inside Space Mountain when it breaks down. I actually fell asleep in there once after a 5+ minute hiatus.
