Hi all,

I tried looking for this information before posting. When do the Christmas decorations at WDW go up? Trying to plan a trip so that we can see the parks decorated.

Thanks!

So I would I be safe if I booked a trip from the 23rd - 26th of November?

Thanks

Fred -

In '98, we arrived on November 7th, and they were already putting them up then; by the time we left on the 22nd, they were almost 100% done.

You will definitely see the vast majority of them during the time frame you listed.

Sometime after thanksgiving should do you fine! Be sure to see the lights in MGM...absolutely incredible. They even produce fake snow along the back streets!!

We've been in 1998 and 2000 during Thanksgiving Week (Sat before to sat after) and the xmas decorations were up, the candlelight prosessional was going on, and the osborne lights at the studios opened during that week.

It's such a magical time!

Yes, you should be fine (other than it will be very crowded over Thanksgiving).

The decorations start going up just before Thanksgiving. The Christmas shows, music, etc. start right after Thanksgiving.

So, yes, the decorations will be up but none of the Christmas happenings will be occurring.

I LOVE Walt Disney World during Christmastime! My favorite place to walk is down Hollywood Boulevard at MGM. The lights and decorations are amazing and so intense. Whenever I go to WDW during this time, I always like MGM at night to be my first place to go. It gets me in the Christmas Spirit fast! http://www.intercot.com/boards/smile.gif
