Years ago I picked up a bunch of WWWD pins (some of you will remember these -- they were cast member recognition pins made and sold by an outfit called Founders Legacy, and there was a corresponding website where you could post a story about what the CM did that was so cool that you felt moved to give them one of these pins).

Well, I had occasion to give one of these pins to a CM last month, and today I finally had some time to make the post on the website. Alas, the website, and most evidence that it ever existed, are gone. And judging by the Google results, it's been gone for quite some time.

So I haz a sad -- it was such a cool idea and so worthwhile. I don't know if anyone else has created anything similar to replace it, but I'm sorry to see it gone in any case. Doubly so because that CM was at Disneyland Paris, and there's no easy way for me to let her know that I didn't realize the site was gone when I gave her the pin!

I understand the frustration but if it that you want to make sure she is recognized and made aware the site is basically gone why not write a letter to her supervisor. You obviously have her name etc. While it is not what you had hoped at least it would be something.

It was a great idea to recognize those that deserve it.
